Scaley demon illustration + process + brush
🕑 Added 2021-05-10 09:16:59 +0000 UTCFinally, the illustration is ready. This one really took much longer than it should x_x This time there's no commentary since the method is almost the same as my previous work.
I probably made a mistake while sketching, not knowing how to choose a better design for rendering. And the dark/light shape became less recognizable compared to the previous work. Eventually my patience became none existence after 3-4 weeks of staring at it. I'll try something different in the next work, or doing some doodling/practice first...(It's highly possible that I'll pause the June billing cycle, if so I'll make an update in late May)

I decided to add some extra pages to the "Possessors" digital comic, and am currently applying half-tone & doing some post-editing to those pages. I think it can be done before May 17th, sorry for the wait!

終於把圖擠出來了，這次沒啥解說可以談，畢竟方法和前一張作品幾乎差不多。
中間遇到電腦出狀況、還有上陰影步驟時才發現構圖選擇本身似乎就不太理想，後續步驟也發現亮/暗兩大形塊變得不太明顯。差不多三-四週後耐性就用完啦，下張作品希望不用再耗這麼久了(汗)目前看來六月結帳週期暫停的可能性很大，會在本月下旬上來公告是否確定要暫停六月份的結帳。
是說五鎂/三十鎂會員的限時獎勵已發送至各為的私訊信箱囉，如果沒收到的話請留言/私訊告知！畢竟Patreon的獎勵發送追蹤功能...實在不怎麼好用。

Oh you're really good at explaining it! Maybe the easiest way for me to determine forms is from the shapes with a strong lighting effect. I mistakenly thought I need more values for this effect, and just recently found out simplification is the way to go!
Ohh I did notice this illustration had a more narrow value range compared to the previous piece. It might be why it gives the impression the dark and light shapes have less contrast with each other. However the narrow value range creates the effect of the figure being "bathed in light". It's still an interesting effect:3

I love the details and the tiny splashes of colour here and there. Gives me the impression of muted iridescence.
