New Releases
[CGMZ] Equip Command Window - Modify the commands in the equip category window, similar to other plugins of mine that allow you to modify commands like Menu Command Window or Battle Command Window. Link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/cgmz-equip-113779790
[CGMZ] Shop Command Window - Same as Equip Command Window, but for the shop command window. This is the one that has buy / sell / cancel by default. This plugin allows you to customize the commands including creating your own, such as one that might call the currency bag from [CGMZ] Currency System. [CGMZ] Item Popup - This plugin allows you to show an item popup window whenever the player gains a new item/weapon/armor they have not possessed before. You have control over when it displays to prevent it displaying during a cutscene, and can even choose to forget certain items to display their popups again. [BGM] Aznir's Tomb - Explore the past and avoid dangers in a pyramid dungeon, or delve deep into an ancient civilization hidden away in a pyramid with this track to set the tune. Alpha Plugin Updates
[CGMZ] Footsteps - This update adds the option to randomly choose between multiple different sound files when playing a footstep sound. This will allow you to really have a lot of variety in your footstep sounds. You can also now have a footstep delay based on steps taken. Link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/cgmz-footsteps-108212317
[CGMZ] Dungeon Tools - This update added some integrations with [CGMZ] Scene Backgrounds and [CGMZ] Controls Window. It also fixed a tricky bug that has persisted through a few versions that was difficult to track down. The plugin will no longer sometimes crash the game when a tool is used directly next to a wall. [CGMZ] Text Codes Everywhere - This plugin was updated to allow for nested text codes, at least up to 2 levels deep. This could occur if you had an actor name text code in your message, which the actor's name also had color or icon text codes in it (for example). Previously, the text codes would not be parsed within the actor's name, and now they will be. Link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/66640328
[CGMZ] Enemy Upgrade - This plugin was updated to add flavor data for enemies. You can now create any flavor data you want, such as assigning an enemy a location or weight or some other piece of data. You can then access this flavor data easily by using the new plugin command to store it in a game variable, which can then be printed out using standard text codes. [CGMZ] Scene Backgrounds - This update added the option to show the default map background behind any custom background added on top. This was requested in order to show a scrolling background with transparency that had part of the map showing still. In addition, the option to un-blur the map was also added so your map background can be clear instead of blurry if desired. Link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/81531935
[CGMZ] Player Movement - A new movement ability was added: the dash! You can now allow your player to use a short dash forward during which they cannot change direction. This can allow you to create some puzzles in which the player must dash to beat a short timer, as well as allow your player to move around maps quicker with strategic use of the dash ability. Beta Plugin Updates
[CGMZ] Battle Weather - This month was the first update meant to change this plugin from merely allowing weather to play during battle to allowing any weather displaying in battle to affect the battle itself. You can now use the weather type and power in your skill formula calculations. You can use this to create a water skill that does additional damage if it is raining, for example. [CGMZ] Battle Command Window - This plugin was updated to allow you to skip the party command window, which was a heavily requested feature. The party command window is the one with escape and fight options. When skipped, the battle command window will go directly to the first actor's commands instead of first asking if the player would like to escape or fight. Free Plugin Updates
[CGMZ] Core - The monthly update added easier drawing of command backgrounds, a function tog et a random number within a range, and a function to load a face image before attempting to draw it. These are all things that will be used in [CGMZ] plugins going forward. Updating the Core should be as simple as overwriting the old version with the new version, so it is always recommended to keep the core up to date. [CGMZ] Difficulty - This plugin was updated to add integrations for [CGMZ] Scene Backgrounds and [CGMZ] Controls Window. All text should now support text codes, and window skin/tone/padding/opacity options were added for the difficulty windows. Link: https://www.caspergaming.com/plugins/cgmz/difficulty/
[CGMZ] Menu Command Window - This plugin was updated to add JS show and enable conditions for your commands. Previously, this plugin only offered some easy to use conditions like a switch. You can still use the previous conditions your commands had as well if you prefer the ease of use that comes with parameters that do not require JS knowledge. If you do not see any known status incidents, you can report the outage to me via Discord.
The poll for the next small plugin has ended. The small plugin will be [CGMZ] Message Log, which will store text shown via the Show Text event command and show it later in a message log. Thanks to all who voted in the poll!
The poll for the next BGM has ended. The next BGM will be "Evil's Theme" - A foreboding BGM track that lets you know the character currently on screen is a big bad. It is not battle music, rather a theme that can play when an evil character is being shown.
