You say the first song sounds "bluesy"... ZZ Top was largely blues/rock before this more "pop" sounding album. So now we needs to get you to listen to their older stuff ("Tres Hombres," maybe)!

they didn't just get a younger audience of teens. I was 34 when this was released and it was the first time I had gotten into them....I just loved the energy and the beat. I then discovered their older Texas blues stuff......

I used to listen to Eliminator on my walkman when I went skiing.....SO much energy on that album!

I'm with you on that although this album is good and it's the tour that I saw (excellent concert btw) the three albums you mentioned was real boogie rock before they went commercial.

Eliminator is a good album but definitely not my favorite. It just doesn’t have the unique flavor of Tres Hombres, Degüello, and Fandango, my three favorite ZZ Top albums.
