I can't tell you just how much I loved this chapter. Fluff, character development, the way the characters feel being explored, the environment being described, the way the handmaidens acted. Everything from start to finish was well written, sucked me in, and made me want more. Made me feel and care about it all. You do this in the smut to some degree, which is part of what drew me in. I can't speak for anyone else, but this is why I support you, whether it's smut or plot or somewhere between the two. As for the tone of the sex next chapter... Pure first time, then progressively more impish and debauched since she's definitely going to want multiple rounds.
