“Regarding the tragic accident Professor Snape suffered...” She met his eyes again, “Let this be a lesson to you all... to keep a clean work environment and practice careful selection and observation of perilous ingredients...”
Harry thought for certain... she was smirking at him with her eyes. He really wanted to have a long, deep chat with his new Potions Professor, preferably as soon as possible.
As Narcissa finished her speech with a brief overview of her duties as Head of House, Harry was taken into the chatter of the nearby students.
Ginny whispered to them both, “This year is gonna be so much fun!”
“I can't wait to speak with her..!” Hermione said excitedly, “Oh, this will be wonderful! I thought Malfoy's mother would be a total snob, despite what you told me... but she seems lovely! She looked genuinely happy to teach!”
“Yes...” Harry met Narcissa's eyes one more time, flashing her a bright smirk. She wore an elegant masked expression as she sat down with the other Professors, merely nodding at him before engaging the dark-skinned Astronomy Professor in conversation.
Then, Dumbledore took the podium again.
“Thank you, Professor... Black.” Dumbledore cleared his throat and then addressed the students as if the drama had never happened, “Before we head off to bed, a few start-of-term announcements! Firstly-”
Harry half-listened to what was now becoming the standard spiel. That was until Dumbledore splendidly killed the chipper atmosphere with his final announcement, “-the Inter-House Quidditch Cup will not be taking place this year.”
“Wait, what?” Harry whipped his head around.
“WHAT?!” He jolted a bit as Ginny, surprisingly, shrieked the loudest outcry.
Looking about, Katie Bell looked devastated, and Fred and George were being silenced from shouting up at the Head Table.
He pulled Ginny back into her seat, and she snuggled into his shoulder, pouting, “B-but... my locker room fantasy...”
He felt a little bad but chuckled as he stroked her hair, “Did it really mean that much to you?”
“Mhm...” She said grumpily.
“Don't worry...” He whispered, “I'll steal the keys if you want to have some private time in there... or maybe we could have a little Quidditch cup of our own. Merlin knows Hooch won't have much to do this year...”
“Really?” Ginny looked up at him with big, hopeful eyes.
She looked so cute. He wanted to kiss her little freckled nose.
But unfortunately... he was reminded just where exactly he was.
“Hey. What are you doing to my sister, Potter?” Ron's voice came quietly, biting down the table.
Ginny huffed, pulled away, and leveled an evil glare, “None of your business, Ron. Stuff it!”
Harry smiled judicially, “Just cheering her up, Ron. Relax.” He said. But inwardly, he knew things were about to get tight, if not explode, between him and Ron. After all, if this society was so twisted that merely touching Ginny's shoulder in public was enough to call attention... then what would Ron think when she started showing a baby bump?
Thankfully, Dumbledore drew their attention again... as he revealed the details of the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

“What a waste of time.” Was Harry's first thought as Dumbledore finished explaining it all and shipped them off to bed. They fell behind the gaggle of students making their way to the dorms. Now, they were practically alone in the dark, Hogwarts Corridors.
Then he smiled down at Hermione, brushing her hair out of her eyes, “I can think of things I'd much rather be doing...” His hand trailed down her cheek, and he slid his thumb across her soft lips.
Hermione smiled flirtatiously but smacked his hand away, “Don't. We're still in public and... I want to actually get some sleep tonight and not be...” She chewed her lip and whispered secretly to him, “Kept awake because I'm too excited...”
Harry grinned at her as she sauntered ahead, watching the way her short skirt swished and swayed over her thick backside. The little slice of her soft thighs above her thigh-high socks made him miss her warmth already.
But after his immediate dismissal of the tournament passed, Harry began to think about it truly.
He didn't need wealth. And couldn't have much more glory than he already had.
But...
A chance to stand in front of the whole school. To show off, not for fame or power, but to impress the whole crowd of beautiful Hogwarts young ladies all at once. And, if he wasn't thinking with his dick, this was a way to prove himself for once. A real accomplishment tied to his name that would make him more than just 'the boy who lived.'
But then again, he'd had enough of the spotlight already. And there's no reason he needed the Tournament for wooing women. Without wasting his time on the tournament, he'd have a full year and plenty of time to go chasing skirts as he pleased.
He grinned to himself. And new French girls from Beauxbatons were coming, as well as Bulgarians from Durmstrang. What a wonderful, unexpected surprise.
Harry made his way to the Gryffindor dorm and passed out, enjoying lewd dreams of Bulgarian Veela. He wondered when he'd see his little Cheerleading squad again.

For Harry not participating it would be good if the Goblit had a fail safe where it cannot choose a pregnant women or a man who has fathered children since someone who has proven to be fertile would be to valuable to loose. This could lead to someone else being chosen like Draco or even Barty Jr.
