🕑 Added 2025-07-13 15:34:41 +0000 UTCIts time for more Claire. This one was done almost a month ago, almost exactly a year after the last one (hard to believe its been that long), but Ive been posting stuff out of order as usual.
This time I was given complete freedom on what to do and I decided to try something more "bold" rather than her usual stuff where she tends to look more innocent and reserved. It has more of a model/pin up feel to it, but I thought it would be fine if I could manage to keep the usual cuteness and in the end it turned out to be one of my favorites of this year so far.
There is a lot I love about it, but especially the face, tail placement and freckles (didnt mention breasts because thats too obvious). Then on the technical side the colors and lighting, how vibrant it looks overall. Of course thats in large part because of her natural colors, I always look forward to drawing her because of how easy she is to color with the orange hair and green eyes. Especially in a time when Ive been struggling a lot with it as I mentioned in the last post, its so nice to have one pic that just goes very smoothly, it gives me some much needed confidence.
As with the last pic I also made the hair a bit more dynamic here rather than just having it fall down. In part because I draw a few characters with the same hairstyle and Im trying to set them apart more, but in general I just thought it looked great here. That little touch is enough to add the illusion that she was moving as the shot was taken, so definitely something I need to do more of.
And yes her next pic is already planned and will have a similar vibe, though it will be a while until I get to it because Im trying to get to a bunch more people (especially first time commissioners who have been incredibly patient) and as I always say, Im really slow and I refuse to sacrifice quality for the sake of pumping out more stuff (which seems to be the opposite of what everyone is doing nowadays, especially with AI...).

Yeah I actually drew them back to back even so that was interesting lol but fortunately hairstyle + miqo'te (and freckles) are the only things they have in common... they are even different types of miqo'tes (sun and moon), completely different colors and body type with Claire being a lot more busty, and yeah it helped that I did the longer hair on Elin in the last pic so they stood out even more

Yeah this one's an instant hit with me, maybe I'm bias because it's that hairstyle and a Miqo'te lol. But overall I just really love the pose, it's a shy but still playful pose which hits all the positives for me, and the way the tail falls just feels like there's a flow. Then with the colours it's a very warm piece which just makes it nice to look at. Another stellar piece Sora!
