This is one of those scenes people always tend to like, with the top down view of the character lying in bed. Its the kind of thing youd see on a dakimakura, although I didnt have that in mind when doing it.
Kei is of course a great character for this due to her "assets" and I definitely had fun playing around with that and making sure they looked just right, although it did take a while especially with trying to keep them accurate to their usual size while still looking realistic.
I also wanted to keep the icy blue hair from "Playful" and "Snowflake", it goes so well with her colors and in this one, also the kimono. And speaking of colors thats definitely my favorite part about this one, all the blues and pinks and purples are so satisfying to look at and they go together so well. Its one of those rare things that actually turned out better than anything I had imagined before I started coloring.
Then in general I tried to light it in a way that it would give off a dreamy vibe, which is partially where the title came from (the specific name comes from the ninja skill because she is a ninja main).
I think what I struggled with the most here was the face/expression. Originally she had a more serious look but I wanted to make it a bit more gentle with a bit of a smile to make the whole thing more inviting and I think that was definitely a good call considering the kind of scene it is.
Thats all I have to say for this one. If all goes well you will be seeing her more often in 2025, rather than just twice a year or so, but we will see, lol. Things never turn out as planned.

Lol glad to hear, I know I dont post as often as some people (but then so many "artists" are using AI now...) but Id like to think the slower posts also have more anticipation behind them and it feels a bit more special when youre not getting spammed with stuff all the time
