Spectral Seed (some new characters)
🕑 Added 2025-07-23 06:46:56 +0000 UTCMy new project is Spectral Seed, a 90ish second cartoon about a wizard and his apprentice.
I've been deliberating over how to colour my two main characters. My default for a wizard is always PURPLE. So I tried three different purple combos first.
But he looked too much like the balloonist wizard from Meth Orcs.
I then tried green and gold.
But now I'm thinking I might go with blue.
For the apprentice, I imagined him wearing a robe. However, he has to do some running, so maybe it will be fun to give him trunk hose:
I'm leaning towards black and red for him.
Here they are in shot 1 in crunchy gif form. The background is almost finished, just got to fill the shelves up and maybe add a magic plant next to the desk.
If you're wondering about RANDY, I'm not in a hurry to make it public. I'll probably do that in August some time when the Randy toy is ready. Shindig pointed out I left Gooseman's shirt as pink in the fourth scene establishment so I'll need to change that!

I think blue and gold is likely the way to go, it pops. The green version blends in too much I feel. Even though I actually like the coloring there. Same thing for black and red for the apprentice. I like the pants choice, it sells him on the apprentice vibes.
