🕑 Added 2024-09-26 01:01:25 +0000 UTCit is so interesting watching Lorelei start fights due to the jealousy she has of Rory enjoying herself with her grandparents and doing things that Lorelei maybe didn't enjoy at that age. I'm happy she ended up apologizing to Rory for it and I liked that Rory mentioned she wasn't really trying to mend a bond basically. which she is totally in the right to be able to decide if she wants a relationship with her parents or not, but I don't think it was fair for her to take that choice from Rory at the same time. I can't wait to see the growth! I smell it 🤣🩶

totally see that point! it's interesting because it feels like Lorelei wanted nothing to do with anything that her parents did and they maybe didn't put effort in to see what she was interested in or wanting to do but now that Rory is willing to spend time doing what they do, they are going all in. which is quite sad. I obviously don't know much about Lorelei's childhood at this point, maybe I will learn more as I go, but that's what I'm getting so far and I feel like the jealousy involved is due to the interest in Rory and getting her out and away from Lorelei, like you said in a spiteful way, but also the fact that Rory is interested in doing those things without Lorelei and still having a good time! 🩶

A lot of the time I feel like Richard and Emily Gilmore are spoiling Rory with their time in a way they never did with Lorelai. They are almost using Rory having a good time with them in a spiteful way to get back at Lorelai for rejecting them when she was a teenage mum. They obviously do love Rory, but most of the time I'm thinking: did you put this much attentiveness into your relationship with your daughter when she was this age?
