I like that at the start of this show we are meeting Rory at the same age Lorelai was when she got pregnant with Rory. Also that Lorelai names Rory after herself. So an important thing happened to Lorelai at 16 and so we already see in this episode the projection many of us mother's put on our daughters when we start to see parallels in our lives. Lorelai's relationship with her daughter and with her mother are equally interesting.

I’m so here for this!! I love this show. Watched it many times. You’re gonna love it! This show put Melissa McCarthy on the map I’d say. All the characters in this show are so good in their own ways. I love Lorelai’s sarcasm and her and Rory are so quick-witted 😂 So happy to rewatch this with you 🥰
