I'm surprised I didn't expect that right away. the way I GASPED when he was talking to Ellie about the man in their group who had passed away and all the pieces started coming together. I was instantly scared for our lives and I had good cause to be worried!! this man is an absolute lunatic, pedo, and everything else bad under the sun.. I had so much pride for Ellie ending him there at the end but the poor child was TRAUMATIZED. thank goodness that she stumbled into Joel's arms and he was there to hold her for a moment and let her know she was safe. ugh, my heart can't handle it. 😭
