Barnacle Bait
🕑 Added 2018-07-24 22:08:30 +0000 UTC A nice, long, warm bath is such a relaxing experience. It was exactly what I needed. A bath has this way of lulling you, softening you, melting any tension away with no effort at all. A blissful, rejuvenating soak ❤ After I had my fun, I wrapped a fluffy towel around my waist, stepping out into the hall to fetch my pajamas... it was then, that I carelessly brushed against a barnacle's dangling tongue.I didn't see it at first. It felt slick, and warm to the touch. It definitely didn't feel right, like, that wasn't supposed to be there. Before I even had a chance to turn my head, and look at what this fleshy sensation was, a sharp, sudden pressure enveloped my neck. I had never felt anything like it. I couldn't breathe. Then, my feet slowly lifted from the ground, and my neck hurt like never before. I wanted to scream, but the most I could muster were a series of grunts and pathetic whimpers.
In blind panic, I grasped and clawed at what was choking me. My feet kicking, my hips squirming as I dangled helplessly. I hadn't even looked up at what was doing this to me yet. My eyes rolled up as I began choking. I only caught a glimpse of it, before the barnacle's maw wrapped around most of my head in a single gulp. It felt so gross. I could feel its teeth pressing against my skin really hard, but not enough to pierce into me. This thing was eating me alive.
As I fought frantically for just the smallest gulp of air, its tentacle-like tongue was wrapping around me, as if exploring my body. Amid my panic, and the pain of being caught in a fleshy noose, that tongue felt stupidly good. It was humiliating. While trying to fight for my life, I had to bat away a horribly out-of-place urge to give in to its teasing.
What you see here, is the very last breath of air I was able to steal. My entire head and neck was soon surrendered to its dark, slick, and merciless inner recess. Its warm, fleshy innards massaged the sharp teeth into my flesh. Somehow they never pierce, they just hurt, a lot. Maybe I wasn't its ideal prey, but it was eating me all the same.
Finally, my body fell limp, as I asphyxiated. No doubt, I had a pained, twisted expression on my face as it ceaselessly worked on my head, as if to knead it, soften it, melt it away. I put up a fight, but I never had much of a chance. As soon as this thing got its tongue looped around my neck, I was done for.
What happened next, I wouldn't know. I think it slowly swallowed up the rest of my body, leaving a disgraceful bulge of my former shape hanging in a ball from my own ceiling. It would slowly turn rounder and rounder as it digested me, shrinking down the more it absorbed of my sloshy remains.
Then again, maybe it couldn't fit all of me inside itself? What if it digested only as much of me as it could fit at a time? ... if that is what became of me, I'm very glad it didn't swallow me feet-first...
