Hi guys,
I think this has been a good vacation format. Taking just 3 days off extra over the course of 3 weeks is a really good way to give me rest, because it breaks up how often I suffer from fatigue from multiple work days in a row. Tomorrow will be that last extra day off of my break, and then I will be finishing the video.
Unfortunately, I think morale is still low for me for other reasons.
First of all, it is hard to diverge from my plans. Nor do I think it's very healthy or needed. I think I am done taking tangents off in this video, and that I have said and done pretty much everything that I was eager to do in the video. So, making it longer feels like a serious drag. I have done my best to extend the video from a planned 15-18 min to 20-22 minutes, and I cannot do it any further than that without compromising the pace of the video.
However, the biggest issue I have come across is that my expectations for what to do next have been defied. I think I will have to wait longer for Elden Ring's DLC, but just long enough that I cannot make a short video. This is devastating news to me, and I don't feel like I want to take a long vacation. Especially considering the Elden Ring project would have to be massive.
So, I am feeling quite bad at the moment and I just want to get my project done. I believe in it, I like it, I'm just ready to release it. So I'll be ending my anti-burnout measures for the time being and see what I can do once it's over.
