Paradise of Infinity: 351

*A Few Minutes Ago*
Nik enters the floor fashioned into a vault, instantly observing the two sources of life—his reason for calling Samus. There are a lot of things on the floor. From the strangely shaped pods containing two women to strange contraptions affixed on the metallic walls and a strangely glowing orange man creepily smiling at Nik.
Wait…
Nik calmly turns his head to gaze at the man. Nik glances at the eerily smiling man, who glows orange. He looks similar to ‘Joseph,’ the man Denny shape-shifted into. For some reason, Nik feels his body shuddering in fright.
Surprisingly, despite his body’s rushing blood, his spirit is frighteningly calm and curious.
It’s strange.
Of course.
So, he intends to warn Samus.
Yet, when he opens his mouth…
“Take everyone out, NOW!” Even Nik feels surprised at how panicked and frightened his body sounds. His body instinctively generates lightning, attacking the man. The lightning phases through the being of light, destroying a metal tube behind.
Why?
‘Why can’t I control my body’s reactions?’ Nik tries something. His eyes flash violet, and he enhances his voice using airbending or—early steps of ‘soundbending.’
“GO TO MY SCAR OF INFINITY. DON’T STOP FOR ANYTHING IF YOU WANT TO LIVE—” Again, Nik is just using this event as an excuse to earn the group’s trust. However, his ability to act out of his previous condition instantly makes the glowing man frown and—
The metal walls come to life, slamming into Nik with fatal force as his body is pushed through the floor, into the concrete, tearing down the levels!
It’s not painful at all. What self-respecting earthbender wouldn’t just soften the concrete before passing through it? The resulting crashing sound emerges from several corners of the building as it ‘sheds’ rubble, seemingly coming alive. Others inside the building quickly leave as Nik glances at the notification from within the broken mess.
[Scar of Infinity Guest Invitation used up. Summoned: The-GOT (Rank 6)]
Nik’s eyelids twitch as he pushes the rubble away. A quiet, hoarse voice fills the entire Scar of Infinity like a deity’s descent.
“I got you, Bug.”
Nik glances through the massive holes between the floors of the twisting building. He meets the gaze of the glowing man who looks more…
Real.
‘Did you?’ Nik rolls his eyes. All it takes to leave this world is a thought. However, he stays for some reason.
An Executive…
Nik lets a massive earthen hand grab him as the building morphs into a towering golem with a human’s skull and gloomy orange flames flickering in its sockets. He glances at the group of escaping women before The-GOT diverts his attention.
“Where are you sweethearts going?”
The executive speaks as if these women belonged to him.
Yet, Nik’s eyes flash again. Mokshi’s applications are universal in dealing with sudden shits like that, as the executive almost loses control of the golem. He returns to glance at Nik, allowing the woman to escape. His grating voice drifts into the Scar of Infinity.
“Quite the feisty bug, are we?”
Nik tilts his head.
A Guest Invitation…
‘It can allow hosts to enter the Scar of Infinity irrespective of the owner’s permission. It’s also limited by the boundaries of the Scar of Infinity. Things would have been slightly troublesome if I had merged the Scars of Infinity. Still, this defensive mechanism seems too luxurious for regular hosts. And an Executive won’t care about the hosts unless…’
Nik feels his body descending as the golem smashes him into the ground. However, the ground and ice feel soft to Nik. His thoughts linger on the topic.
‘Denny shapeshifted as Joseph, who looks like The-GOT. Are they related? I wouldn’t be surprised. Besides, Denny was from T.P. like me. So this executive should be from T.P., too.’
“Hmm?” The voice sounds surprised as it looks at an unharmed Nik after the dust clears.
“Can’t we talk this out, Dear Executive?” Nik offers.
“Talk? With the murderer of my daughter? She may have been my 13th offspring. But I doted on her all the same, Bug.” The voice sneers. “Die!”
The Golem smashes Nik into the ground again.
*Boom*
*Boom*
*Boom*
*Boom*
*Boom*
The snowy plain raises a terrifying storm as the escaping women can barely walk straight due to the resultant shockwaves as their hearts shudder. They all heard how this man was Denny’s father. But they didn’t think about begging for his mercy. His attacks would not have been fierce enough to shake the world if he thought anything about them.
Instead, he feels malicious to everyone present in the world.
“Guests can be invited, Bug. But you will find me terribly inconvenient to kick out. This is my daughter’s Scar of Infinity. Where do you think you can hide with it?”
His every word kicks another storm.
‘Can’t blame the man, can I?’ Nik feels the grip around him tighten. Although he looks miserable, he’s barely hurt. But he knows the Executive’s words target his mind. The figure somehow incites physical terror. Perhaps it's more, and Mokshi’s existence can ward off the rest until Nik takes it further by going all out in Energybending.
It would be terribly inconvenient for others, but the same cannot be applied to Nik.
‘There are also other limitations.’ Nik realizes. ‘An Executive should be stronger than just controlling the Golem.’
Frowning, Nik gazes at the skull. That’s the portion holding Denny’s treasury.
‘It can’t be…’
Nik suddenly exerts his strength. The Golem has someone else’s energy running through it, so earthbending on it is of the same difficulty as Bone and Bloodbending. Still, Nik breaks apart the massive fist before running up the concrete arm.
“What are you upto, Bug?” The hoarse voice cackles coldly as Nik’s body shakes again.
‘Fuck off!’ Nik’s eyes burn an intense violet as he kicks up with further speed. The other hand slams into Nik as he tunnels into the arm he’s running on, diving through the concrete and emerging on the shoulder before jumping into the Golem’s socket.
‘Fuck!’ Nik curses when he sees the destroyed treasury save for the two pods. It’s as he suspected… unfortunately.
The-GOT IS severely restricted. Yet, his vengeance was never about hurting Nik. No, he wanted to destroy everything left by Denny.
“Unfortunately,” the orange specter glances at Nik, smiling a smile that doesn’t reach his eyes. “I could not destroy these two pods. Unfortunately, Auction is a stickler for rules.” He scoffs.
Meanwhile…
Nik is just…
“You daughterfucker,” Nik whispers as his violet orbs spew flames. This treasure was no longer Denny’s but HIS! Denny had stuff for translation and taking out someone from one’s Scar of Infinity, and now it’s all gone!
“A daughterfucker, you say? That’s new. No matter. I shall stay here. You may have a paradox to counter my Terror. However, you can do nothing to me.”
The man is learned and intelligent. Knowing Nik could have escaped, this Executive resorted to depriving Nik of his wealth. Even now, he’s more than overbearing, calmly claiming the ownership of this Scar of Infinity. Yet, Nik merely takes a step forward, appearing beside the specter.
The-GOT sneers, waving his hand as the metallic interior spikes into a massive pillar, slamming into Nik. Nik’s body slams into the dom-like ceiling before he lands on his feat. He can't devour the golem for AP. So, the Golem must be sentient to some extent, or it’s due to the enemy’s energy coursing through the Golem.
“Hmm? I intended it to be a metal spike. That’s three elements you controlled. And those violet eyes… ah, the Paradox of Freedom, is it? No wonder. I’ve met your kind before. Paradox itself doesn’t make you powerful—”
“I know,” Nik’s fist suddenly connects with the specter as it flies back, phasing out of the Golem. The Golem almost instantly deactivates, falling onto the ground with a thud before Nik snorts and devours it for AP lest the bastard controls it again.
Now, Nik and the two Metal Pods fall on the ground until Nik cushions the fall of the unconscious woman with a burst of air.
“Huff,” Nik exhales. Airbending is more useful than it seems. Nik can accelerate his body by reducing the atmospheric pressure. But he’s nowhere near Koro’s speed. Or rather… his body cannot handle that yet.
“How can you hit me?” The voice demands. “The Paradox of Freedom should be a spiritual concept. Your body is still of flesh and blood, unable to touch me.”
Nik turns to look at the executive. The man stands near Nik, eyeing the latter with blazing curiosity.
Truly…
Ignorant ones are fearless.
“How will you compensate for my losses?” Nik questions.
“Losses? Do you believe I’m incapable without my puppet? Will you feel safe using this Scar of Infinity?”
It’s true. Nik won’t mix the worlds yet and will scour the Reincarnation Trading Facility for convenient items to stop such issues. This travel opened his eyes to several things, including the existence of three of the ten Rank 9 Executives—Auction, Debt, and Finite.
“Do you believe I’m incapable of extracting benefits from you?” Nik tosses back as his hand suddenly latches on the specter’s face. Still, the Executive sneers, unbothered.
“What can you do to me?”
Nik licks his lips, answering with his actions. His mouth opens wide, revealing a set of straight teeth and a slightly longer tongue. The Executive appears unbothered until Nik’s teeth sink into its form before—
*Chhk*
He takes a bite out of the Executive’s chest.
“Hmm~” Nik almost moans. “It’s way better than those two spirits!” He teems with excitement. “So fucking delicious!”
His grip tightens on the man’s face as he takes another bite.
“You…”
The-GOT looks shocked. He got his answer.
Nik can touch spirits because he can eat them.
[Death Eater]
“Tch,” the Executive clicks his teeth, more annoyed than outraged. “Well played, Bug.” His body slowly flickers in and out of existence until—
“Where do YOU think you’re going?” Nik snaps his gaze towards the man with eyes burning violet. A strange wave of chi washes over the spirit, stabilizing it.
The-GOT appears shaken for once as he struggles against Nik’s grip.
“How can that be possible? What did you do?”
“Just fed you like a pig about to be served for dinner,” Nik replies, biting the neck. Only the man’s head is left as Nik caringly cups it between his hands. Unlike the previous ghosts Nik ate, this Executive doesn’t feel pain. Still, the Executive glares at Nik.
“I will track you—”
Nik smiles as he ‘kisses’ the man—
*Chhk*
—consuming the lower portion of the face in one big bite before he devours the remaining skull.
“Phew~!”
Nik exhales. “That was something new.”
He glances at his stats after the fulfilling meal, feeling slightly bloated.
[Name: Nik Faran

Paradise: Reincarnation

Physique: 6.9→ 7 (~1.5 Tonnes)
Mental: 8.3
Energy: 105→ 305]
[Stats are relative to the most common species in the Multiverse—Humanoid Homo Sapien.]
Nik’s eyes almost fall out of their sockets!
Sure, it took almost 35 years of his lifespan to heal and remove the traces of Frenzied Chaos from his body back then. Nik didn’t like it, but he accepted the costs.
But such growth?
The Golem almost filled his AP bar without him using the AP Chip. Meanwhile, the Executive’s remnant became a part of his reserves, boosting his Chi Reserves by 200%!
‘Still… it doesn’t come close to what I would have gotten if it wasn’t for that bastard,’ Nik scowls, recalling the loss of the convenience of a Language Translator. Heck! A single Language learning pill costs 5 AP (Rank 3)! He cannot even comprehend how much it will cost him to take others out, and he was looking forward to hanging out with his lovers in other worlds SO much!
Nik grumbles under his breath.
“That daughterfucker didn’t even defend against the allegations. No wonder Denny was so fucking rich… Also, I should clear out Duck-Tape’s treasury before something strange happens again. He had an item to control others’ minds, right? It can sell for a good amount… hopefully.”
He stops in front of the pods.
These metal pods contain a glass-like tube in the center, filled with light-green liquid. Nik observes the two women floating within the liquid, each of them naked as the day.
The one to the left is short and petite with modest curves, straight black hair, and refined features.
Meanwhile, the one on the right has longer hair, prominent curves, and a slightly athletic build.
“Hmm, why couldn’t that daughterfucker destroy you guys?” Nik frowns, focusing on the ‘A’ brand atop the pod.
His gaze suddenly shifts as two panels appear before his eyes.
[Greetings, Nut-Cracking-Messiah. These two products were purchased by an Executive of the Transmigration Paradise: The-GOAT. It was delivered to this Scar of Infinity. As the new holder of the Scar, the items purchased from the Infinite Auction can only be opened or destroyed by the owner of this residence. I’m your temporary Auction A.I.—B134RXC. Pleased to be at your service.]
‘I’m a little worried that this doesn’t even surprise me after all that’s happened,’ Nik frowns before he questions, “How did you know my Chat I.D?”
[Executives can look for information within the Paradise’s archive held by the fellow Rank 9 Host: Archive.]
‘That’s the fourth Rank 9 Executive,’ Nik notes.
“Can you know everything about me?”
[Impossible. That’s the Paradox of Omniscience.]
“Do you know about my homeworld?”
[Negative. Archives cannot infringe on personal data outside of Paradise’s bounds. Infinity has strict regulations.]
Nik scratches his chin.
“Who are these two?”
[The items purchased are one Kaguya Shinomiya and one Ai Hoshino. The product matches the specialized requests of the buyer.]
“And what were those specialized requests?”
[The requests were as follows:—]
The A.I. lists several requests. Nik can instantly see that these two were ‘bought’ by Denny after her initial purchases. After all, these two women are from an alternate reality where they never formed attachments with others enough to be considered a detriment to the host. What Nik finds weird is how Denny specified that the woman Ai must not have any kids, but she also must be old enough.
By that logic, was Ai supposed to have children before being of appropriate age?
Nik shakes his head before he asks a few more things and dismisses the A.I.
‘No way I’m dealing with all of this… alone. I’ll get Samus’ help or Yor’s and Shuuko’s. The rest are slightly weird. Fuck it… I’m going to open my rewards now, too.’
Nik sits down on the spot, creating an Igloo around himself.
He glances at the pods again.
‘Ray might hate me for this… but the Auction has integrity about business. I wonder if they have special spirit husks for me to get skills from. It can help me consolidate a better bloodline. But how expensive would be the essence or husks of Primordials?’
After all, his Twilight Spirit is forged after getting the Primordial Sun’s and Night’s essence. Even then, this Bloodline already existed within the progenitor’s space.
‘On that note, I should check out the information Ray shared with me. It has something about bloodline.’
Nik prioritizes that and the rewards.
