Damn right! I had a whole moment for a brief time with my son where I was a little hurt that he wouldn’t open up to me about what was going on for him romantically. I would try to leave the door open for that conversation when he talked about friends and others being in relationships and he’d always brush off his own interests in a way that I know he was holding something back. I make it pretty well known that I support the full spectrum of love so I started feeling a little sorry for myself that my own son won’t talk to me about it all and gush about boys around me even though I know 100% he does with his friends. But then it hit me one day super hard that he doesn’t owe me a damn thing and I need to get over myself about it already and be grateful for the relationship we have, which I love and I know he does too. And it just makes these ohso wholesome comics warm my heart that much more! 🥹💗
