About Illusion new game AI Syoujyo (AI少女)
🕑 Added 2019-09-02 03:30:39 +0000 UTCThe new Illusion game AI (Artificial Girl) has released a demo version, with only character making features. I will tell you some of my feelings of it as a modder.
First, it's a little bit more catoonish than HS or PH.
But as a modder, I'm more concerned about if it's moddable. I tried to load it with various versions of sb3u. Versions before 1.13 cannot load it. The newest version 1.18.3 can load the unity3d file but cannot fully access meshes and materials inside. (Maybe sb3u needs some update, or the demo version locked its assets, but it will not be a problem when the full game come out on10/25, I'm sure)
The most important thing I'm concerned about is whether it's like PH that has locked face type, or it's like HS that can port a lot of heads and we can play with them all together.
Luckily, AI hasn't locked face type. It's more like HS in this respect!
As you can see in the above image, there's a separate head file for girls' face assets, and a separate list that you can add face types like in HS. No more like ph, no more integrated into one resources.assets file.
[About body color]
In HS, we modders have to make the skin texture into some gray color, and then in game, players need to add red or yellow or dark color on top of that to show the skin color. That's not so real in some sense. PH is better in this perspective. Luckily AI is good too with this.
Its body color is more real than just gray in hs. So the body has a much better appearance in game I'm sure.
[Summary]
AI is a game that's better in graphic quality and more friendly to us head modders! Maybe we can have some hope that it will become more successful than HS! It has the potential!
Oh, btw, the default name of the character is Tsubomi, つぼみ lol

很期待這款遊戲，畢竟PH對於改頭模的大大們相對麻煩許多，而有些H動作比起來我又比較喜歡PH的，不知道這次的會怎樣。

Every girl I've seen so far in that demo looks the same to me.

AI, clearly isn't a sequel in illusion's sub series of honey select. It's a standalone entry with similar features stemming from HS. Similar to PH, Illusion should just create a whole new engine altogether, as far as I'm concerned. Maybe market it as a next-gen Virtual Reality engine, but it's also quite possible we haven't reached the technical capabilities to make a game that graphically advanced.
Asus-suite
I don't think it can, if it's less realistic looking than HS. What I'd like, is a more realistic and higher definition/better graphic, honey select sequel. One that offers even more features (more sexual positions, idle animations, poses, etc.) And open mod support, even if it just means structuring the game to be more efficient for modders (as you mentioned before, HS had more head options than PH.)
