I remember all the "is Sam Jewish" discourse throughout the original airing of the show. How she made all these references that imply she's Jewish while being really into ham. I think the Bat Mitzvah thing comes later though.

I love watching these analysis videos, I feel like I’m constantly learning things that didn’t even occur to me when I was obsessed with the original series (in the last video it was “Carly’s just a giant ball of pent up anxiety” and in this one it’s “most sitcoms rely on disfunction which is why generally no one can be perfectly happy”). Can’t wait to see the rest of this!!

this is all so good !! i literally love that this series has allowed me to reassess why i loved icarly so much growing up (its because i was gay) and all of this has reminded me of all the merch i bought but cannot find. i.e a build-a-bear that had the icarly theme as its audio chip and sometimes it would just go off and wake me up/scare me and would play the whole song everytime

Just wanted to say that the reason that grip on the camera made your hand black is that the compounds that made it sorta soft and rubbery back when it was new are breaking down and causing it to just degrade and basically melt. It's not actually super dirty, just old
