Last year I'd spent around a month and a half playing through the game twice to capture footage/audio, going through my sampling process and working on the track which was roughly half finished before my hard drive died.
I was hopeful I'd get at least the track I was working on back but they unfortunately couldn't retrieve anything so I was back to the drawing board and feeling pretty bummed about it. I put it on the backburner and started working on other stuff but it slowly came together and I think it turned out pretty swell.
