Novel Cat

Thank you for the chapter. Liked the fight with the juveniles and LOVED the pic at the end but I feel that there could've bin more descriptor(s)... But, of course, I tend to do too much and over think things so please take the following with a grain of salt as my rambling imagination took hold. 😅 (Or don't even worry about reading the rest as I'm Pretty confident I did too much via descriptions... Sorry😅🙈.) Ex. "...but the tall trees offered plenty of places for flying animals to rest and hide." Though, if you looked closely enough you could see their movements in the branches above. A flowing rustle of leaves, like an invisible wind, tracing it's way across the canopy. The way certain sections of the branches and leaves above seemed to flow and roil almost hypothetically as if they were holding back a living cloud from escaping its branches. And all through this was glints of golden light and flashes of color that could never come from light escaping the branches above as said light danced across the forest below. Flashes of golden light shouldn't be moving so randomly at such odd angles across both bark and forest floor. Though you could be forgiven your ignorance if you'd never lived your life surrounded by forests. It still created a consistent backdrop of rustling leaves that was only muted by the distance they had from where we walked. I almost feared being lost in the beauty of the mesmerising flow of branch and leaf if I concentrated my sight too long on any one point of the canopy above. The rivers of wind that played across those branches, guided by hands no sentient could make. Weaving, intermingling, and separating almost playfully across both leaf and branch before rejoining the mesmerising clusters of Something hidden behind the sea of branches above. The flickering interplay of both light and color as those hidden in the branches danced and swam through the leaves beyond our ability to see them was simply Beautiful. I was in awe of all that Caden had made. This sea of beauty above by head was only the newest addition to my love and admiration of my new home. I moved my eyes away from the flowing beauty above to look for other signs of life in the trees. "We had even seen signs of nesting skyrays. The nests varied..." "... was sufficient to give them away, with the sunlight glancing off them like glittering gold." They poured out from (a smaller one of those mesmerising clusters I'd noticed earlier) above and separated to attack us from multiple angles at once. "As soon as I was aware of their presence, I used my skill..." Unsure if you'd want those clusters to be an obvious grouping of them or not but I thought it might be a nice way of hinting/showing their movements in the higher branches above without actually allowing them to be seen from below. I got the inspiration of this from how some birds like to gather together and turn into mesmerising displays of beauty in the sky, like living clouds, and thought it would be nice to represent that somehow behind the cover of canopy above. I'm currently unsure of the kinds of birds that you're basing their actions/characteristics off of, much less on how much of the birds are mixed with the possible actions of an actual stingray. But I FULLY believe I'm over thinking things again and I thought I'd share my thoughts. If this is doing too too much then don't worry bout it lol. Just got inspired and wanted to share. 🙈🙈

Ah, yeah. That can be... frustrating. Love to read good books, but catching up can be hard after binging.

No…. This can’t be… I’ve caught up…
