🕑 Added 2025-05-05 13:08:46 +0000 UTCLucas and Jennifer stayed in their room, sprawled comfortably on the bed as the wide TV played Twinkling Watermelon. The first episode unfolded with Eun Gyeol, a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) high schooler with a hidden passion for music, who ends up mysteriously traveling back in time to 1995. There, he meets his teenage father, who is nothing like the stern man he knows in the present. The episode blended comedy, mystery, emotional beats, and a nostalgic touch of youth and family bonds.
Jennifer leaned back against the headboard with a content sigh. “That was beautiful,” she murmured. “A deaf boy, a strained father-son relationship, and time travel with music... What a combination.”
Lucas smiled, eyes still on the credits. “Yeah. The storytelling's tight, the pacing was smooth, and the twist at the end was perfect. I knew this project had potential the moment I saw the script.”
Jennifer nodded, her eyes still on the screen. Even though her involvement in the series had been minimal, she remembered being one of the first people to read the script alongside Lucas. Something about seeing it come to life gave her a sense of pride.
“After watching that,” she murmured, “I suddenly feel like I want to support an unknown writer—like help someone with a story in their head turn it into a real series on Netflix. Maybe even be a producer for it.”
Lucas chuckled. “We literally just did that. You’re watching the result.”
“No, no, I mean me. I want to do what you’re doing—find a script, greenlight it myself, maybe even act in it. Be hands-on. I love acting, but... I think I want to create something too.”
Lucas turned to her, his voice warm. “Then do it. I’ll back you all the way.”
They lay together, his arm around her as they sank deeper into the mattress. The thought of their future hung gently in the air.
Jennifer smiled as he pulled her closer. She stared at the ceiling quietly, her thoughts drifting. “Lucas…”
“Hm?” he answered, eyes half-closed in comfort.
“Do you think things will change after we get married? For better… or not?” She spoke softly. “I mean, I do want to settle down—with you, with kids, a home… But sometimes the future feels like a big question mark.”
Lucas met her eyes, steady and sure. “Maybe things will change. But that’s what life is. Change. All that matters is that we have each other, and a plan to walk through it together.” He smiled. “I’ll love you the same way—no, even more—when we’re married. Let’s just focus on now.”
Jennifer’s gaze held his for a long moment before she smiled. “Right. Live in the present. Less worrying, more loving.”
“Exactly,” Lucas said, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “Now let’s get some sleep. We’ve both got busy days ahead.”
He chuckled. “Especially me—heard I’m nominated for an Oscar again.”
Jennifer’s eyes lit up. “For La La Land, right? The one that hit big last Valentine’s?”
Lucas nodded. “Yep. Emma and I both got nominated.”

Over the next few days, Netflix’s new Korean drama Twinkling Watermelon began gaining major traction. K-drama fans everywhere were sharing it with friends.
“Hey, have you seen that new series on Netflix? It’s called Twinkling Watermelon. Just one episode in, and I already think it has serious potential.”
“Really? Might be time to renew my subscription.”
Word spread fast. The buzz pushed curious viewers—especially international fans—to check it out, leading to a noticeable spike in new Netflix subscriptions.
By the weekend, Twinkling Watermelon had climbed into the Top 5 on Netflix’s U.S. charts. In several other countries, it broke into the Top 10.
And this was after just a single episode.
By the next day, the second episode dropped—two episodes per week—and the momentum only grew stronger.
Then, some eagle-eyed viewers noticed something during the credits.
"Wait... 'Lucas Knight'? As a producer?"
The revelation stunned many. Lucas was globally known as an actor, but producing a Korean drama? That seemed unlikely. Some thought it had to be a coincidence. After all, the credits were full of Korean names—why would Lucas be involved?
Posts began circulating online. Some fans doubted it, but others who knew the entertainment industry quickly clarified: "That’s really him. Lucas Knight is one of the executive producers behind Stranger Things, and he owns significant shares in Netflix. It’s not surprising he backed this show too."
That explanation spread like wildfire.
“Oh my god. Lucas is everywhere,” one person tweeted. “I thought we’d get a break from hearing about him—and now he’s in the credits of a Korean drama?”
Another joked: “We can’t escape him. He’s infiltrated every genre, every country, every streaming service.”
Netflix didn’t comment, and Lucas didn’t promote the series himself, but the discovery added another layer of mystique—and respect.
He wasn’t just starring in blockbuster films or trending online for leaks. He was also behind the scenes, making quiet moves that shaped what people watched across the world.
The internet had no idea that Lucas Knight was about to make headlines again. After trending as a surprise producer on a Korean drama, he was already diving into his next project—YouTube Rewind.
But truthfully, Lucas didn’t agree to be part of Rewind just because he was a huge fan of YouTube. His real motivation was to connect with YouTubers—people he admired from his past life. Some of them had unknowingly inspired him during his darkest years.
When he arrived at the YouTube headquarters, he was greeted at the entrance by a staff member and escorted to the CEO’s office. Waiting for him there was Susan Wojcicki. She stood up and gave him a warm hug.
“It’s an honor to finally have you here, Lucas,” Susan said, beaming.
Beside her was Kai Hasson, the director of YouTube Rewind this year. Lucas greeted him with a firm handshake.
They quickly got into discussing the project.
Lucas made one thing clear from the start—he didn’t want Rewind to revolve around him. “I want the spotlight to be on the creators,” he said. “That’s why I agreed to do this. I just want to blend in, not dominate.”
Kai nodded enthusiastically. “We’ve actually been working with that mindset this year. YouTubers are the core of Rewind, and we think your ideas—the theme, the music, the sequences you suggested—are perfect for where we’re headed.”
He added with a grin, “We’re nearly ready. Just a few final pieces and we’ll begin filming.”
“I’m always ready,” Lucas smiled.
Later, he was led to the studio where some creators were already mingling. As he stepped in, a few heads turned. Whispers floated in the air:
“Is that… Lucas Knight?”
“No way...”
The cameras weren’t rolling yet, but the presence of Hollywood’s biggest star among online creators was enough to stir up excitement. Lucas simply smiled and gave a polite nod.
---
Earlier, before Lucas had arrived, YouTubers were already all over the studio—vlogging, mingling, and sharing laughs with fellow creators. It was the calm before the storm, the pre-show energy buzzing through the air. Everyone had gathered for the Rewind prep, and word had spread: this year’s Rewind was going to be different. Special.
Felix, better known as PewDiePie, had his camera up as he chatted casually with fellow gaming legends Markiplier and Jacksepticeye. The trio joked around, laughing like old friends on a reunion tour.
Across the room, a group of YouTubers from Asia tried to blend in. Some were visibly nervous, but their eyes sparkled with excitement. One of them gasped softly, nudging the others.
“Guys! That’s PewDiePie. I can’t believe it… we’re breathing the same air as the number one YouTuber!”
Others glanced around in awe, spotting their idols left and right. “That’s Liza Koshy! And—oh my god—is that Casey Neistat?!”
But not every creator received the same warm welcome.
The Paul brothers—Logan and Jake—had arrived too, flanked by members of Team 10. Jake, in particular, drew side-eyes and awkward glances. While a few smaller creators surrounded them for clout, the attention was lukewarm compared to the bigger names.
A YouTuber quietly whispered into his mic with a smirk, “There’s Jake Paul. The king of cringe. Not hating on Logan—he should’ve just stayed on Vine though.”
Still, the Paul brothers did what they always did—vlog. Loudly and confidently.
“Yo, PewDiePie!” Jake called out, holding up a brightly colored fidget spinner. “You want some of this hot merch?”
Fidget spinners were still the trend of the hour, and nearly everyone had one. It was part toy, part prop for clout-chasing thumbnails.
Nearby, a tall young man with a calm demeanor stood out by his quietness—Jimmy, better known as MrBeast. He looked a little uncertain at first, adjusting his hoodie and shifting in place, until his best friend Chris clapped him on the back.
“Relax, man,” Chris grinned. “You belong here.”
And then—everything shifted.
The studio doors opened, and someone stepped inside.
Heads turned. Conversations paused. A hush rolled through the room like a wave.
A voice from the back broke the silence, barely above a whisper. “No way… is that Lucas?”
Eyes widened. Cameras tilted. Jaws dropped.
Standing at the entrance, casually dressed but unmistakable, was none other than Lucas Knight—Hollywood’s biggest star, in the flesh.
Even Logan Paul blinked in disbelief. “Well, sh*t,” he muttered. “They really brought him in, huh?”
The energy in the room flipped. Phones raised. Whispers turned to awe.
At first, a few YouTubers squinted from a distance, unsure.
“Wait… is that the Lucas Knight lookalike?” someone whispered.
They recalled the viral prank video from a while back—the lookalike who tricked fans in Times Square and even in a mall, causing chaos wherever he went.
But as Lucas stepped further into the light, it became obvious. The posture. The voice. The charisma.
No mistake. It was really him.
Rewind suddenly felt less like a YouTube tradition and more like the premiere of a Hollywood blockbuster.
Lucas gave a small chuckle and lifted a hand in greeting. His tone was calm, friendly. “Hey, everyone. It’s good to meet you. Looking forward to working together on this year’s Rewind.”
There was a brief beat of silence—stunned recognition washing over the room.
Then the cheers began.
One creator shouted, “No way! That’s the Lucas Knight!”
And like a dam breaking, YouTubers surged forward—some with vlogging cameras up, others just eager to say hi.
“Oh my god, we’ve got a legit movie star here!”
Lucas was momentarily taken aback by the wave of enthusiasm. He offered polite smiles, firm handshakes, even took selfies. His presence alone electrified the space.
Watching from the side, Susan Wojcicki—the CEO—folded her arms and exhaled through her nose, amused.
‘Look at them… They’re all giants in their own right, but the moment a Hollywood actor walks in, they turn into starstruck fans.’
She shook her head lightly, half-smiling.
Standing beside her, Rewind director Kai Hasson narrowed his eyes at the crowd. ‘This is exactly why I wanted the focus on Lucas,’ he thought. ‘He’s too damn magnetic. But no… he insisted it wasn’t about him.’
