Disintegrity 36 remade !
🕑 Added 2020-05-02 16:39:51 +0000 UTCFor the first time in a billion years... there are parts of the characters that are brought over from the old version. It's unbelievable but IT HAPPENED.
But anyway, in order : panel 1 was weird. I'm assuming it was just cos it looked omg so kewl so have some torso framed the way it was, taking so much of the page as if Larsen looking back was that important. So the panel was squared up. But I still added some goofy arrow to show that Larsen is turning around because omg so kewl even tho it's more confusing than naything else.
Panel 2 is mostly the same, with added chocolate on Zee's face. I also shows the general change in lighting in the comic where light is now more often just coming from straight above. It's not necessarily more realistic but it's more convenient and makes the tone less dark overall.
Panel 3 is mostly just the same but better. That lineless eye-shot of Zee looked quite atrocious didn't it ? I did remove the crosses tho. I probably had them to make Zee seem more threatening. It didn't seem that necessary to keep so I changed it with nervous squiggly. The background of that panel was also pure black to denote Zee's sudden urge to KILL but I figure it could use some lightening up to look better and de-edgify Zee a little.
And now we get to panel 4 which uses some of the old pic ! It's... barely visible. Cos I had to thin out the linework anyway so even tho some of the old lines and color remain, they're still modified to the point of not looking old. I've also moved the come on slam sign for clarity's sake.
Speaking of, I wondered about removing it altogether cos it's just kinda dumb and maybe it just muddies the tone, like other things I've removed before. I left it since I wasn't so sure, this scene doesn't strike me as something to be taken super seriously anyway so Ijust moved it to the last panel and called it a day.
There's also some added motion blur and and there on those last 2 panels for XTREME DYNAMISM sake. That last panel sure looks like the impact is better felt.
So that's it for the changes !

I'd like to think that the arrow is fine then, I was worried it'd just be distracting

In all honesty I don't put that much thoughts into the changes. I think about it more when I have to write it down to explain them than when I actually draw them...

"... panel 4 which uses some of the old pic" - whooaaa, yes, right, perfectly visible when you switch back and forth between the pictures (which I like to do so much). That's so cool, leaving it the same and still have it completely new and different! And I do like the goofy arrow, but wouldn't have noticed it if it hadn't been mentioned explicitely.
