Some print paintovers!!

i've been going a bit crazy with old art paintovers in preparation for sending these designs off to print. This doesn't include the third image, which was done at the spur of the moment because i realised i never posted that original fanart to any of my socials, which made me re-read the fic, which made me want to do it justice and paint over those bones and post a better, more representative piece of fanart. Since it's drawn as a gift to joesoef, who owns the content who inspired it, that won't be an available print but I still wanted to draw it just for the principle of it <3
i think im gonna do one more paintover for this piece, since johnny's leg in it has always bothered me and looking at my old smudgey rendering style makes me grimace a little, but after that they'll all be going to print! fly my pretties, fly...
(also, i'm hearing the feedback loud and clear and can promise more highschool au ghoap soon! those adorable baby-faced menaces have taken up root in my mind and now i can't stop thinking about study-dates and sharing bikes...)

hi there!! i'm sorry for responding so late, but thank you for the advice regarding the depiction of the wheelchair, I really appreciate it :) in the story, Soap is only momentarily in the wheelchair as he gets out of Simon's car and enters a rehabilitation center which is why I included the handles, but I definitely should've included hand brakes there too.

I think it's less that it's straight up skinnier but a re-styilizing of proportion focusing less on musculature, and also sort of scaling it all differently. Softer lines, more relaxed poses, looser clothes, etc:)

These are all so beautiful 😭 getting to see and appreciate the subtle changes in proportion and the new ways you render lighting is a real gift. Both sides are beautiful, and I'm so glad we get to see the way our art style has shifted and grown! And this isn't a critique, just thought I should mention the wheelchair doesn't see to have its handrim (though that could be the silver part) or it's hand breaks. Not a big deal, just something that caught my eye as a wheelchair user! Wheelchairs are so hard to draw and you've done it so beautifully. I also havent read the fic, so it could be that the chair is a push-only instead of manual.
