Rokoko suit tested - quality is too low

I am disappointed at Rokoko suit tracking. See for yourself. In last video I attached Vive tracker but even with it a suit drifts in space. I talked with Rokoko support and few freelancers who fix mocaps - freelancers said that recorded data is low quality and it will take lots of efforts and time to fix all problems. Rokoko replied that their suit works best for simple standing animations where you don't need a precision. But I do. I want precision level at least as accurate as in Vive Trackers. I looked at XSens suit too and talked to their sales team - they say it's better than Rokoko but I saw many videos of XSens on youtube and it seems it has the same problems as Rokoko. Fortunately Rokoko has 30 days return policy - I will send a suit back and use money to start saving for OptiTrack.

OptiTrack is worth the investment but it's more geared to bigger projects. So if you are looking at it, you might want to put together a game idea that incorporates the mocapping and I am sure supporters will be willing to back you to help fund it.

It was 100% worth a shot - don't blame yourself for the limitations of their product. Interestingly, this is the same conclusion ReignMocap came to regarding the Rokoko suit and he's trying to raise the EUR 27k for an OptiTrack too. Someone should set up a European mocapper workshop location where you all can rent time on the system! The funny thing is that in five minutes someone is going to invent a way to do this with a cellphone. Actually, there's a Japanese place nearly ready to launch their dual webcam system that is supposed to be super accurate.
