Just a small update, this one contains a new special item that allows Maya to teleport to any previously visited save points. This comes in the form of a scepter, currently located inside a chest guarded by the beach boss. Teleportation helps tremendously when moving around the stages and instantly accessing the various areas.
Every new save point that Maya touches becomes a valid teleportation destination in a list. But since I didn't anticipate for this mechanic as I should, everyone would have to go back touching all the current save points... so to avoid that I made the F9 key fill in that list (which is fair to say that almost all players would have anyways). You can safely copy old saves into the new version, but this time after loading them go ahead and press F9 and the list will be filled, then save again to store the updated list.
For activation, at first you would need to equip and then use the scepter in order to be able to teleport but I thought that it ended being way too many steps for that, so I decided to simply check if the player has acquired the item and then enable a new option in the pause menu called "Teleport".
In that window when scrolling horizontally all of the different stages types can be viewed such as beach, forest, etc... and then by scrolling vertically, all of the different save points within those stages can be selected. To teleport simply select the correct point and press enter twice; one time to "lock" the selection and then again to confirm and perform the proper teleportation. I made it so because I found myself frequently teleporting by accident due to it requiring only one button press.
For now Maya is instantly teleported to the correct stage without any fanfare, but eventually there will be a short animation depicting the teleport; something to the effect of Maya waving the scepter, and then becoming a beam of light (akin to mega man), then the screen changes to the destination where the beam of light will drop from the sky and reform into Maya.
Now to implement the 1st part of the cavern stage and the Lamia enemy.

You're right; the F9 does not enable the teleport function, it only updates list of "touched" save points, so that when you do acquire the scepter the list will be full. In other words, to enable the teleport option in the menu you have to acquire the scepter. It's currently located in the 2nd beach stage (go left from the 1st stage), in a chest guarded by the boss.

Hitting the f9 key does not add the telaport function to a file that doesn't have the scepter i tried

Have you obtained the dash skill? To confirm, please open the inventory window and check if the dash skill is there in the skills tab. If it is then it's definitely a bug that I'll have to fix. If it isn't there then when you press the D button nothing happens. To obtain the dash skill, please go to the forest area and defeat the boss there which will drop the skill.
