VanimateVR is finally here!
This release aims to test the core functionality, such as controls and performance.
It should work with:
Oculus Quest 1-2 --> Tested and works with Oculus Quest 2
Valve Index --> Untested
Windows Mixed Reality --> Untested
HTC Vive --> Untested
Please let me know if it runs on the untested headsets
You'll need SteamVR installed!
VanimateVR is built from scratch and is missing some features from VanimateApp; Toys, Cumshots and Customization options are not yet finished
Hope to get some great ideas from you to implement in VanimateVR.
Planned Features are
- Hand Grabbing -> allow you to grab and hold or perform an actions
- Wrist Menu -> The idea is to have a device on your wrist that can act as a control centre, allowing you to preview and spawn toys, control character poses and other stuff
- First Person Avatar -> an avatar representation of you with genitalia included, which you can control and interact with
- Performance Improvements
I've been working on improving the shader's efficiency and visual fidelity.
the new shaders should improve performance most noticeably in memory consumption
And the Skin materials look a little nicer :p
The VR uses an entirely different renderer, and from what I tested so far, it shouldn't be any harder to run than the APP. I would love to get some feedback on that
- Monica Updates
Monica had a physics overhaul for better interactions within the VR port, but this change is also in the APP version
Breast physic bodies are increased from 2 to 8 per breast.
Butt Physics bodies increased from 2 to 6 per butt-cheek
Ball's Physics bodies increased from 2 to 6 per ball
Stomach Physics added.
Leg Physics added.
Only Monica's Physics are updated, and it's part of yet another upcoming character overhaul.
Monica and Liss will have a complete overhaul with some skeletal changes to implement better physics and IK controls and a total mesh overhaul mainly to increase the visual fidelity and make better facial impressions.

- Baron Toy New Skin
Many of you liked the Bolt Bumpy Skin, and Baron needed an Update, so here it is
More skin customization options are planned things like adjusting the bumpiness or how wet it is even patters
- New naming convention
With the release of VanimateVR is a perfect time to introduce a new release naming convention
VanimateVR 0.1.0.1
[Major][Minor][Revision][Patch]
The Major version number is incremented major milestone is reached
The Minor version number is incremented when new functionality is added
The Revision number is incremented with feature updates large bug fixes
The Pach number is included for small bug fixes.
NOTE:
I hope everyone can run the VR port without any issues but for any problems, let me know so I can start fixing them.
This month the focus was primarily on making sure VanimateVR is ready for a test release, so there was not much time to work on the APP version,
And I imagine this month would be the same many of the mechanics essential for the VR port still need work.
A couple of exciting things awaiting further development will shape the entire project.
- The First would be the characters overall.
Monica and Liss especially need some love inside and out, but this time, I won't be doing everything myself but instead hire a professional character artist.
- Character Interactions
Things like moving their limbs and allowing some basic pose manipulation would be the goal. I've already done some testing, and it looks promising.
- Player Avatar
As the name implies, this would be a player-controlled avatar
In a first-person, with many customization options, including the choice of genitalia. And with it, you can interact with the characters and other things.
- Storys
The plan is to make multiple unique storylines that include different characters and situations.
The idea is to have extremely Cheeze scenarios and objectives to reach.
And would include a complete scene with backgrounds and unique animations and dialogues.
