Moving forward, I will no longer attempt to give predictive ETAs, only a progress percentage based on how much of the planned work has been completed.
Billing has been paused for one more month so nobody will be charged until February 16th. The purpose of the pause was to make up for lack of content in November-December, but I took a longer rest than planned & didn't get around to making the intended posts in time.
v0.10 BETA #5 will be the next build & it will include the 2 Story Sex Scenes I've been working on (1 - Tiffany & Vanessa. 2 - Tiffany & Dr. Milburn, featuring Hitomi), more Tiffany voice lines, new gameplay perks, fixes & more TBD. Basically finishing up everything I was showing off at the end of 2024.
A release date will only be announced AFTER the planned content has been completed & implemented.
Happy New Year, everyone.
Apologies for the lack of posts over the previous month.
Aside from taking an extended break over the holiday period, I have also been adjusting to a new work schedule that I believe will be more productive in the long run, because I can't keep doing things the same way and expecting different outcomes.
Part of this involves forcing myself to stop sacrificing sleep, diet & exercise to crunch late hours on overdue content. Things that are only "overdue" in the first place because I went and made some bold prediction or promise about when they'd be done by. Because while crunching feels like it works when you're doing it, all of the things you neglect during that period always catch up with you in the end, often costing you more time in the long run than you gained in the short term.
It's difficult to unlearn this behavior, as it's basically how I've operated for the last 15ish years of my life. But the older I get, the less viable it's gotten as a legitimate strategy, if it even ever was one to begin with. So I'm giving normal work/life balance a proper go for the next couple months to see what kind of difference it will make to consistency/productivity. Among other changes in my approach.
I have internal plans to release a minimum of 7 game builds in 2025 (I released 4 builds in 2024). As previously mentioned, if I'm not on track to hit this target by July, I will be making further changes to my workflow, particularly when it comes to bonus content and anything else that puts a strain on development time.
Thank you for your ongoing patience & support. I expect to be posting regularly again from next week. There's a lot to catch up on...
~ Jim
