(Updated) Some More v0.10 Previews #3
🕑 Added 2022-01-29 15:29:25 +0000 UTCEDIT: Yes, everybody point and laugh at the world's biggest clown living the world's longest "72 hour" period... I need to buy myself a sign for my desk that says "Never, under any circumstances, for any reason, mention anything to do with an ETA until the thing you're working on is 100% done". Don't know if I'll ever learn at this point...
Honestly, there was one task in particular that I incorrectly assumed (as always) I could just knock out in about 48 hours that has ended up taking me all week and counting... Had to retest every scene and was always finding more things to fix along the way.
As of right now, I just have the two existing scenes with Terry(Tiffany & Debra), and then all of the existing Casino Scenes left to fix/test. It's still going to take me a bit longer, so I'll just shut up and keep working. Apologies for the silence, I posted a little on Discord but I know not everyone is on there and even then I've been trying to stay offline to minimize distractions while I get this done.
^At least the 2 new scenes were relatively painless to get in by comparison...
ORIGINAL POST:
Hi all,
I'm not dead, & yes the v0.10 ALPHA is going to get uploaded in whatever state I can manage to get it to within the next 72 hours.
Unfortunately I had a lot of unforeseen issues to fix while playtesting (Day 1 seems to be all good now, added that one render above for the new option of sparing Dr. Milburn after defeating him in combat. Still need to test Day 2 & 3 content) so was not able to focus on renders as much as I had hoped since the last update. But I have made significant progress on the two scenes that I had started. Those two will be added, though in what state exactly depends on how I'm going for time.
I still need to finish a few more renders & edit a big chunk of them, before sticking them into the game and continuing my playtesting/polish pass on Day 2-3 to make sure the rest of the game still works as intended. There is still a lot to do, so it is possible that if I run out of time, the two new scenes will just be added to the new Gallery Mode (so you can at least still view them) rather than integrated into the game properly. Though the Combat Sex Scene should be far quicker to implement than the story scene (since this story scene changes the existing quest and its events and I don't want to break anything else at this late stage).
Debra vs Jebadiah - Story Sex Scene [Titfuck]:
- Rendering = 90%
- Editing = 90%
Debra vs Male Zombie - Combat Sex Scene [Vaginal]:
- Rendering = 100%
- Editing = 100%
So yes, unfortunately expect only these 2 scenes. And while I am proud of how they are turning out visually, I'll be the first to admit that they're not the sort of scenes to carry a new release entirely on their own. And far from what I had hoped to complete in these last 2 weeks.
Luckily, these new scenes aren't really the focus of this ALPHA test. As mentioned plenty of times in previous blogs, (and I'll be sure to reiterate this again upon release) this really is a test build meant to get feedback on the new gameplay systems & features as well as helping me find all of the bugs I'm sure I'll miss (Hopefully nothing totally game breaking). These two scenes I am managing to just squeeze in under the line are really just a bonus so that there is at least something there.
However, I can't stress enough that players looking simply for the next batch of content should probably pass on this and wait for the BETA build or even the v0.10 Full Release. Especially since you'll need fresh saves each time until the Full Release. On the bright side, with the exception of any undiscovered game breaking bugs, the v0.10 ALPHA should at least be an improvement in every way over v0.09 despite the lack of actual new content. So I suppose if you were going to replay v0.09 in the next 2-3 months anyway then you'd might as well play this version. But I'd strongly recommend holding off if you'd like a more polished first impression of some of these improvements and don't wish to replay the existing prologue content multiple times due to save compatibility issues with the test builds.
Okay, enough expectation tempering. You get the point. :')
One more thing I need to mention. I've decided to pause my page for February and take a break after the ALPHA to recharge. No existing patrons will be charged on February 1st. March 1st will be the next charge. I was going to take a break in March, but decided now is probably the best time since the BETA will take more than a month anyway plus February has the shortest amount of days and is earlier in the year so overall means less interruptions for the rest of 2022.
I want to hit the ground running when I return in March and, if nothing else, keep up the content here in terms of "regular-ish" previews of the new scenes and additional bonus content like polls, discussions and the usual.
Speaking of which, there are a couple new polls that I put out recently for the $5+ tiers:
And as always, there is also a bonus preview shared with the $10 tier.
Thank you all for your continued patience and support. Just a bit longer now. Even though this won't quite be the build I'd hoped to present, at least I'm finally getting one out there. I'll see you with the release post and DM'd download links when it's ready.

take your time JimJim i understand it will take sometimes to finish out the kinks in the game like i say at the end everything will be well worth it so take your time and do the best as you can

don't know I think Jim mostly does the deadlines to motivate himself :) I don't remember if he has ever correctly guessed how long it would take.

Some communication would still be appreciated.

72 hours? Seems much longer than that but if I have to guess Jim has encountered more playthrough glitches than he thought
72 hours?

Unfortunately, I can't publish that kind of content on Patreon. It is a platform limitation. Can you include the beast link to it? I couldn’t get it to work and it’s the best part of the game
