v0.08 Dev Blog #2
🕑 Added 2019-11-17 16:11:40 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
Sorry for the long wait for another of these posts.
Already had a lot of renders to re-do before deciding to modify the stage 1 bodies and then redo the redone work I'd already done! But it was of course worth it, and I'm basically caught up on all the dialogue and action CG's I need for now. I haven't started on redoing the combat sex scenes yet though. I will redo those last I think. For now, I want to get started on the actual new sex & story scenes that will be in v0.08. There's not too many, but I have no idea how long it will take with the extra variations. So I'm going to get started on those now since they're the most essential. Of course, this version is going to start in the morning of Day 3 with Tiffany waking up. I only just started on it so I'll have more to show off next week and probably in a sneak peek post for $10 patrons sometime during the coming week.
For now, I'm going to post a whole heap of images, most of which will seem familiar because the first batch are from the previous dev blog, but this time with the updated proportions. I've included a Base 0 Preg0 version, and a Base1 Preg1 version as well so you can take more looks at the differences. I will attach a folder with all of these screenshots in them if you want to download and do a direct comparison for yourself. Also, replaced the dialogue portrait face to reflect her new lips & hair.
^Also note the "slut for zombies" dialogue variant.
Alright, now for some new ones. Here are some re-done "resist" CGs:
I of course have all the different dialogue expressions, her idle with the 9mm pistol, her 9mm reload and fire poses, menu images, rope climb pose, and more. But you get the idea. If I post them all here this post will go on for ever (I'm also not going to post direct comparisons like this every week. You can check them out in game for yourself, eventually). Plus I still have to finish editing and implementing those missing renders. The game's backend needs some work as well, since now the game has to constantly check additional variables before showing every image. I need to add a lot more conditional branches to a lot of the existing common events which is what I started on for these images but there's more to do.
I also started work on some more dialogue variations for some other characters, but I'm not exactly ready to show them off or implement them into their game scene's yet. $10 patrons have an idea of who's coming back though.
Finally, I also did renders for, and added a new consumable weapon. The Frag Grenade:
It will be a rare and expensive piece of loot that will help out with some tougher battles if you need them. Directly usable during battle via the "items" menu (like the First Aid Kit or Adrenaline Shot) it will do a ton of damage to all enemies in the fight.
I also plan on implementing a couple more gameplay features in this version including a rather lewd stealth system. But right now, my priority is going to be on the story and sex scenes. If there appears to be time left over, I will see much of my fun, extra content I can have time for.
My current aim is working towards a v0.08 Beta as soon as I can. Basically getting the bare minimum done to launch something playable before Christmas. Hopefully earlier, but you know how these things go. I will try my best to break these chunks of the story up into more manageable, easy to develop parts from now on. Though this extra ground work with the different bodies is proving to eat up a bit more time than I was hoping. Still to early to say how much more times it's going to take. I will have to see how long it takes me to get the first two scenes done.
Also, $1 & $5 patrons can now access this amazing recent commission by GrownUpJuice:

That's all for now, sorry if you find this part of the development cycle tedious & boring. It really has been for me, even if it all looks great when put together. Still going to take me a while to finish the remaining edits and implementations, but at least I'll be working on new scenes this week so hopefully updates should be more interesting from now on. Well, until I have to do more re-renders for future segments...
Thanks so much for all your support. Will have more previews next week. Will try and get some more polls up for $5+ patrons soon as well.
