v0.06 Weekly Update #1
🕑 Added 2019-04-14 21:47:53 +0000 UTCHey guys,
Got the first proper "weekly update" of the upcoming version for you here. Why haven't I posted one before now? Well, I'm trying not to spoil the sex acts themselves since everyone pretty much already knows what's going down in this version. Plus, prior to this week, most of what I did was the less visually interesting stuff. I just prefer updates where I can show off a bunch of images but also not reveal my entire hand. But anyway, I'll be doing proper weekly updates with previews until the release of v0.06 from now on.
First off, I'd like to remind everyone, (or any new patrons) that I'll be posting a bunch of images on the Discord that can't be posted here. I already posted some with Jasper (the stray) & Hitomi, so check the "upcoming-release" channel for those. And I'll be posting this week's $10 Sneak Peek in the "special-forces" channel. Also, I've been posting a lot more regularly there in recent weeks so if you're one of the many patrons who still hasn't checked it out yet, I'd highly recommend it if you want to stay 100% up-to-date.
^Get a better look at where this scene is going for instance ;)
So, what's been happening so far? Let's start with the issue most people are probably curious about, the release. I'm done giving specific ETA's at this point. At least until I can have 100% certainty. I aim to have something out in April. There's still plenty of time, and I believe I'm on track, but I know better than to make any specific promises while this far out. By this time next week, I plan to have finished all of the renders. This should give me plenty of time to implement any gameplay sections that are needed. In the past I mostly attempted to do all of that in 3-4 days at the end of the month and we all know how that turns out... So I'm hoping this gives me a better shot. In any case, on the gameplay side, v0.06 is far less work that v0.05, so I'm mainly focusing on the sex scenes here. v0.07 is where a lot of the new gameplay things need to be worked on, and is where I'm getting some help with for the level design.
The #1 thing I want to avoid is giving an ETA and missing it, or releasing an unfinished version. So for now I'm going to keep my mouth shut and just keep working on it.
I still plan on releasing a beta version for the $10 patrons prior to the full release. Unlike v0.05's busted alpha version, this one will be in a much more complete state and compatible with any new saves made.
^One of a couple new buildings I'm opening up in town.
Onto some game stuff, not a lot of work has been done since I'm focusing on the art right now, trying to get it done ahead of schedule. But I have been working on a few small interiors where you can get more items. For instance, this corner store will have some dog food (as part of the new quest with Jasper) along with other goodies. These new areas will probably be boarded up and require a crowbar for access. Remember that you can always purchase crowbars from George at his shop if yours breaks. Damn rusty, useless things! Better crowbars will be made available later. I just wanted a lootable item that might actually be rare/useful to find right now since everything else is mostly useless right now...
On the topic of balance, keep in mind that once you've looted the buildings, the loot and enemies aren't going to respawn. And things like ammo, food & water will be something you'll always need. Though, it's still early days in development (and in-game) so I will be adjusting things later on if the game is too easy/too hard after a while.
In general, the idea is that you'll notice items being more valuable the further you progress and as stronger enemies are added in future versions that take more damage. A quick side note, I've got a good model for a mutated sewer zombie that I really want to add, but if I do that now, It's going to delay everything. So I'll have to sit on it for now, at least until I've finished up the rest of the content.
Yep, I'm finally adding in that "Surrender" option upon defeat. For those not in the loop, it will operate the same way as "Submit" currently does, but Tiffany won't automatically become a slut. You'll get the same scene, but with different (less slutty) dialogue. You'll always have the option to submit at anytime, so if you want to roll-play and choose at what point she finally gives in, or you just want to play a non-slut Tiffany, then this is the option for you.
There may be a very small chance that she will randomly become a slut after getting fucked, but it will be small. I will probably make this random chance part optional for those who don't want it, but that may be in a later version. I'm primarily prioritizing the new content with v0.06, so anything that I can tweak later in order to save time now, I probably will. Right now it's functional, but I still need to re-write new variations for most of the dialogue to match the non-slut path. Keep in mind that the girls are all still reasonably slutty in this world, so I may not be able to appeal to what everyone wants exactly, but I'll try my best to make these different personality paths have a noticeable enough distinction.
^ She really does have a nice ass...
So apart from that, as I stated, I've been focusing mostly on the renders this week. I'll try and save a look at the actual sex acts in question until a later update, closer to release, to avoid spoiling the goods too early. So I hope you don't mind these teasers :)
I've just got the 3D set designed for the Debra and Terry scene, so I'll start rendering that one last. How much I add to that scene will depend on how much time I have left. I almost made a poll for Patrons to decide on Terry's cock size, but I decided I wanted to determine that myself and not waste additional render time. I think people should be fairly happy anyway, here's a look at him (since I've never shown him off properly before):
^Sorry if you're not interested in seeing just him :P
In other news, I reached out to four 2D artists over the last couple of days to see about commission pieces of TD girls to share with you guys. I love the art pieces that flowerxl has done so far, but I also wanted to see how other artists would draw the characters. Also, flowerxl is open quite a lot, but also much more expensive so I figured it could be a good chance to use the same amount of money and get a number of other artist's takes at the same time. Unfortunately most of the people I want to commission are currently closed. I haven't heard back from one of the 4, another closed their slots about 30 minutes after opening so I missed out there, and another accepted but is busy until after May.
The fourth artist I got through to, and they're working on a piece right now. I was unsure about their art-style since it's more simple and anime than my preferred rendered style. So I've only ordered a simple pin-up style commission from them to test the waters. I sent my more devious ideas to the other 3, so now I'll have to rethink my "4 surprise commission pieces" plan... :3 I may reach out to flowerxl again this week since I'd rather have some commissioned art for you guys than nothing. That being said, if you guys know of any 2D NSFW artists who are currently open, let me know and I'll investigate. I would like to get something with Sydney and George done in honor of the second most popular option from the $1500 goal patron submissions. But let me know what you guys think if you have any input. :)
I'll also be posting more OIL for the $10 patrons this week. Hopefully a new poll of some kind for $5+ patrons (all the polls I want to do require renders as examples so I'm prioritizing new scenes for v0.06 right now instead). Maybe the launch of the new novel project that Camille (writer for OIL) is working on for $5+ patrons. And also another podcast perhaps? Is there anything you guys want me to talk about with regards to any of my work or whatever else? Not sure if I'd be able to set up streaming/screen sharing so it might just be another pre-recorded one for now. We'll see...
That's all for this one guys, I'm going to keep at it and show off a few more previews around this time next week. Thanks for your patience and support. Remember to check the Discord ;)

Sounds good to me =) And Terry seems quite alright actually^^ For Artists that are a bit more niche (other than sparrow or Devil) maybe have a look at 1) Cicada 2) GrimOTK 3) Sethxzoe 4) Metalowl. All the other posssible artists have been named on Discord I think^^
