v0.05 Weekly Update #3
🕑 Added 2019-02-11 23:21:15 +0000 UTCHey guys, for what time I had this week I spent most of it on Debra's introduction scene and the gameplay back end of her as a companion character. So that's what most of the images and screenshots will be about this week. But I'll just preface this post by saying that I am currently still on track and will definitely be releasing a version by the end of the month. So February 28th is the best I can do at this point for an ETA. It will probably be last minute again. But I'll be trying my best to ensure something releases before the end of the 28th. But more on that later in the month. I just wanted to confirm that a version will be out this month regardless.
Right, so like I said. I spent most of the time I had this week on more Debra stuff. There was a lot I hadn't considered at the time, which has required me to rewrite some of the back end so that the enemies can correctly distinguish and target Tiffany and Debra. Like I alluded to last week it's basically like doing the work for Tiffany all over again. Well, more like rewriting things so that adding future characters is much easier. Anyway, it seems to be working out for now. She can be stripped in combat separately from Tiffany which is awesome:
^She'll get some different lines to Tiffany in these sequences as well so it'll be a bit different to reflect her personality. Same with future companions.
I'll have to make some game design choices for how combat is going to work. As I have it right now, both girls need to be fully stripped before either can be knocked down. Then if Tiffany is knocked down (or submits) Debra is automatically downed as well. If Debra goes down first, she is out of combat and then it's just Tiffany. Both girls have their own individual endurance points which they can use to resist and keep themselves in the fight.
^Yep, she can be overpowered when fully stripped, just like Tiffany. :P
Like I said last week though. I obviously don't have time to make unique sex scenes for every enemy type with Debra in this update. So that will have to come in a future version. This companion system stuff here is mostly a test run for later (around v0.10) where you can take Ali along with you and she'll have sex scenes for every enemy type then. So what am I doing for know? Well, Debra will still get fucked. It will just happen off screen. After your regular sex scene with Tiffany you'll get this lovely screen:
^There will be more variations of these screens in the future as well.
Of course, that doesn't mean there are no sex scenes with Debra coming in this version. Her introductory scene will contain up to 2 sex scenes that you can get (one for Debra and one for Tiffany). Depending on the choices made of course...
^I wonder what people will choose? ... :P
But yes, in regards to Debra there was a whole bunch of possibilities I wasn't thinking about at the time like separate stats tracking and status pages for instance. I'll have to see how easy that is to set up since I was only tracking for Tiffany before. Its possible that since this is more of a test run, I'll leave it pretty bare bones and add to the system in later versions. Since I also have the rest of the maps, gameplay, and sex scenes to add (Jeb, Zorse, and Hrses). So we'll see. But I am committed to a release before March. That much is for sure...
Now here are the full Hitomi & Vanessa commission set for all patrons:
Part 1 for the clothed version if you missed it!
Part 2 for the regular nude version.
Part 3 for the sex scene version.
Huge thanks once again to Flowerxl for this commissioned set. There might even be one more coming before the end of the month... something smaller though :)
In other news, I've purchased the parts I needed for my second PC over the weekend so hopefully they'll arrive in time so that I can put the thing to work on pumping out more images for this version. I'm overspending a bit, (possible only thanks to you guys) around the $4000 mark. Though it's a good investment to help increase my render output so I wanted to make sure I got a top of the line GPU and CPU. In any case, it should be a good deal faster than my current PC. At the bare minimum it will mean I can render 2 images at once which should help out quite a lot. That being said, I'm not sure how long it will take to arrive, set up and reinstall everything, so it will probably be of more help in v0.06 than in v0.05 but we'll see. It's all thanks again to the support from you guys. Right now I'm trying to put most of what I'm earning from Patreon back into the game to help make the end result better. Same thing with the commissions, and everything I purchase for the renders and game itself like new models + music and sound packs that I got recently.
Once again, a quick note to reiterate in regards to casting voice actors as promised for one of the goals. The main reason I'm spending that money on commissions instead of trying to find a voice for Tiffany, is mainly due to time. It will get to a point when I can take the time to cast someone and sort that out. But right now I have to focus any spare time I get on the upcoming version since I don't want to delay it anymore. And organizing a 2D commission takes basically no time, but there's a lot of work that will go into finding the right voice for Tiffany, especially since she's the protagonist. And frankly the game itself has more important things it needs than voices right now. But we will definitely get there in time.
That's all for this week's post guys.
- I'll have a sneak peek and some extra post (for missing last week's OIL page) for $10 members in a couple of days.
- I'll also have a new discussion and poll out for $5+ Patrons later this week. It will probably be in relation to Tiffany's increased proportions that she'll get at the end of the next version (v0.06) as a part of the story.
Thanks for all your support! Hope you enjoyed the update this week. I'm running out of things to show that aren't spoilers with the sex scenes. So from now on a lot of the screenshots will probably be more gameplay stuff, but we'll see...
