v0.03 Release Delay
🕑 Added 2018-12-04 07:29:39 +0000 UTC Hey guys, I hate to do this, but I think it's for the best. I'm going to push back the release of v0.03 until the 10th of December. There's a number of reasons for this, but the primary one is that while I would have something ready by the 7th, I feel like I would end up cutting corners and it would result in a rushed release in order to stick to the deadline I set.
Sure, I'd be able to get all of the sex scenes done, but I'm attempting to make more than just a collection of sex scenes. It's important to me that there's also a game connecting it all in the background with characters, dialogue, areas, quests and gameplay, etc. Not just some half-finished maps with some new scenes to trigger.

The renders are mostly done, but there's still a lot of work to do to get it all working and pieced together in game. Maps need to be finished, more dialogue needs to be implemented, quests need to be properly implemented, items added, little cut-scenes where characters walk around and start conversations, coding things to trigger properly depending on choices made, behind the scenes stuff for the Day 2 transition, etc.
Maybe some of you don't mind so long as the sex scenes are there and look good, but I think you'd be pretty underwhelmed to walk into an unfinished farm map and the only thing to do is say 'hey' to Jebadiah then walk up to a random zombie horse and either kill it or fuck it. So while there's still a couple of days left, and I could release on the 7th, my main fear is that it will end up being a glorified sandbox to just walk around and trigger the new scenes in.
And yes, the game is still in super early development so nothing here is ever truly done, and there's always more to add and improve upon. As someone with perfectionist tendencies, It's important for me to not get too lost in the fear of releasing a 'work-in-progress' version since obviously the whole game is in a constant WIP state until it's truly done. But I'd much rather make sure you guys have a good first experience with this section of the game, especially after already waiting this long. Even with these extra days I anticipate I'll be working right up until the last second on this one once again.
Also, many of you have probably realized by looking at my updates around previous releases that I'm notoriously bad at predicting how much time something is going to take me. I'll often assume something will take me around 20 minutes and then 1 hour later I'm still working on it, tweaking it, etc.
Therefore, I've arrived at this conclusion; that it's the better call to prematurely delay the release by a few more days than wait until the 7th on the hope that I'll get it all done on time, and end up ruining people's days with waiting for a rushed release. Plus, I can have my computer render images for a Sydney blowjob scene while I code the game and finish the maps so... maybe this is a win?
In the end, it's all my fault, for failing to correctly manage my development time with my existing work commitments and probably overestimating my ability to get this content produced in a consistent period of time. So I apologize for that and strive to be better as I get more used to the monthly Patreon schedule.
Thanks for your patience and support, I appreciate that I've already pushed this release back, but I hope you guys can understand that it's important to me that your first experience with this new content is good, and not rushed with parts missing. I'll share some extra images as I make progress with the game.

Lets be honest coding and designing is not easy no matter how small a task you set and sometimes a month might not be long enough , As long as i get updates on how things are going its not a problem to wait till your ready to release the next part even if it takes a few months between parts ,

Thanks, It means a lot to me to have your guy's support. I want to deliver on time, but I want to make sure what I'm delivering is worth it.

Hey, take your time. In terms of updates, I'd rather have quality rather than quantity. So, keep up the great work.
