Your semestral reminder that the band is in fact a band.
Also, the second piece in a new series I like to call, Marco downloaded a fisheye perspective grid and he's having more fun with it than he originally thought with it.
Which is weird cause my name ain't Marco.

This time I didn’t edit a song because last time youtube gave trouble for it. Lol What song would you add to this? Leave a comment… Or not…

The story here is the WornDown Children recording a music video and having fun with an old video camera they found that had a super wide angle lense so they're going all retro.
This is a thing I've been working on during breaks for some time, not a lot of time but like a week.
I was going for a cartoonier looser style in the lines with this. Same with the coloring which originally wasn't going to be shadowless but I ended up adding them but in a simpler style. It is inspired in the first 2 parts of JoJo's bizarre adventure anime where outside the face the characters' shadows are done in simple geometric lines but I still overdid it a bit in some parts.
Zara here is giving a really silly look that I love. If you look in the timelapse you'll see that at various points I tried a different face for her but I never came up with one I liked better.
The background here is a combination I did on my head of a two floor art classroom from my college, a train station close to where I live and the second floor of an abandoned squash court where you can watch the game behind the house of an uncle of mine. In universe I think it may be a classroom in the old city art center that has been mentioned before in the comics. I think the WDC asked for permission to record there and got it.
Really I just wanted to draw them playing. Lol

It's good to get these semestral reminders that the band is an actual band that plays actual music, lest we all start to think that they're just a bunch of maybe-rich beach bums or something! XP The retro wide angle lens shot and geometric hard shading sure gives this music video a unique badass look that I'm sure the band was going for, tho Zara's silly frontal cartoon birb face right in the center kinda lessens the impact, especially since seeing it immediately made me think of the classic Donald Duck face: https://images.static-bluray.com/products/20/30086_1_front.jpg The downside of being an adorable beaked anthro, I'm sure :D

Yo! I was just watching an episode from "Home Movies" where Brendon Small wants to buy a fisheye lens and goes crazy when he can't afford it lol. Las coincidencias de la vida XD I would think they're playing punk or something more gritty with this setup, it just gives the vibes of modern UK grim music videos or something Bass Drum of Death would do too lol
