Lina the fox works at a hospital that's a little bit understaffed at the moment so she sometimes has very long shifts and when that happens she's away from home all day, so she gave her girl Tania the cougar something so she doesn't miss her (or miss her more?) before leaving.
I've had a couple of doodles around this idea saved for a while and I finally made it. With this picture I'm channeling another drawing I had done before, that I'm also including in this post, featuring these two (Technically) having some fun early while Tania gets ready to work.
With my “Yantak’s characters” I rarely get into their lore beyond a paragraph or two as it feels like it is kind of floaty. Unlike with my main characters I don't really give it that much of a thought. Tho Lina and Tania may be the ones with the strongest continuity. Besides, both have and will cross the line to “Katnay canon” a couple of times.
So long story short, Lina is an Arctic fox medicine resident and Tania the cougar is freelancer. They're both in a relationship and pretty much in love. And in this picture specifically I feel they both have been living with each other for a couple of weeks and still getting used to it but it's pretty good so far.
As stated Lina works at a hospital and Tania works from home so they both wake up early to spend some time together and then Tania goes to work while Lina sleeps a couple more hours. And it's funny to me to picture Tania one of these days suddenly realizing she's now basically a housewife.
Due to the context of the pictures they have appeared so far it's not very apparent (maybe it is now that I think about it) but their dynamic is that Tania is kind of a big mess, while Lina well she's basically an angel. They met each other when Lina treated Tania after she broke an arm when she fell from a tree.
Also added is the alt version that implies Lina will go to work going comando and a scrapped sketch for this piece that I still really liked and I may finish on its own later. Who knows..

Yeah, I see what you mean, but I couldn't fit them in the picture as I wanted. that's why I posted it. Also, Ahhh, yeah you're right. for some reason I often mix their names up lol

Yeah, it's one of the upsides of the patreon thing, for me lol. I get to think about it more

Yay for more lore and development of the main Yantak couple, especially wonderful when accompanied by more beautifully intimate artwork of them! Though I thought Lina was the (angelic) fox medicine resident while Tania was the (big mess of a) cougar housewife, is that an accident or have their names been switched around? ;P The main pic(s) of them are beautiful as always, but I realize I actually like the scrapped sketch's concept even more, if only because their poses and expressions look more casual/natural and less pinup-y, like it really is a snapshot of a private moment between them where Lina/Tania is actually getting dressed for work while Tania/Lina is acting playful behind her rather than looking more like they're centered and posing for the viewer in the main pic, so I'd like to see the sketch someday finished for that alone. ;)

Once again, you're the expert on coziness and intimacy. Their lighting and shading are fantastic as usual. Their expressions are sultry and playful. I think their half-closed eyes really sell how much they want each other. Lina especially looks like she's saying "Pleeeeease? Can't you stay a little longer?" The nightstand in the bottom right of the picture is also really good environmental storytelling.

I'm glad to see the yantak characters are slowly getting more writing put in and their characters being developed more. Can't wait to see more of them in the future!!
