🕑 Added 2023-12-01 13:08:04 +0000 UTCThis week I spent most of the time in Ren'Py and adding renders where I felt they were needed.
I decided to finally re-do the old perks system from episode 1 of u4ia, and I'm very happy about the result. In the new revised version, you choose a perk at the start of every episode, and you also have a choice later on in the episode that will affect your stats.
The perks will automatically help you as you play, and the stats will affect how you handle certain situations later on. These are mostly meant to boost your character for what will happen in season 2, but they will also come into play to a lesser degree for episodes 3 and 4.
I have also been working on one of two big free-roams, and I had a lot of fun doing so. It's nice not to have the December deadline hanging over me, as it was exhausting, and as a result, I'm enjoying myself much more working now.
Next week I'll continue working in Ren'Py work with scripting and dialogue. The positive is that this isn't complicated work, so there's good progress for every hour I put in. The only downside is that there's still a lot of Ren'Py work remaining.

Most likely, yes. The perks changes also transfers to how points with the girls are stored and will most likely cause problems. I will try to make a skip function if there's time as we get closer, but I can't promise it. But replaying is definitely recommended either way.

I think that would be a great Idea. There is so much to this story that I think would be great for people to see and understand. This game/story touches and affects in ways no other out there does. And I know i can speak for myself and all your followers when i say thank you for sharing it with us.

Yes Aaron. The idea was to water down the erotic scenes so the story could be distributed to a larger audience. Alot of us feel the story was so impact full that it would be a shame if more people missed out on it because of the adult content stigma.

that makes perfect sense to me. plus i like to move the games i play onto flashdrives when i finish playing and i think it's harder to do that when the size is so big. All the same can't wait for next month!

I don't want to end up with updates where each one doubles the last one in size. It will still be episodic updates, but I don't want it to end up being progressively longer and longer between updates for each episode.

HI Drifty! you mentioned i think like one or two updates ago that you had to rethink somethings regarding future updates going forward since you had to push the deadline back. Did you mean that you are going to re-evaluate the amount of content in each update going forward or something different? (I forgot the exact wording you used when you said it)
