It was a very stressful release with the save game problems a lot experienced. We were a total of 9 people testing the game more heavily than ever in the week before the release, and none of us had a single problem with saves. So it came as a huge surprise when the release was out.
I'm really sorry about that, but there's really nothing I can do about it that won't ruin the newly created saves, made after the last update.
Other than the savegame problems, it was a good release with no game-breaking bugs, and I have to give a huge thanks to every one of the testers for doing a very solid job.
There were also some problems with stuttering animations on mid to low-end computers. This is a Ren'Py problem, and I'll upgrade to a new version of Ren'Py when a new stable version addressing it is out.
I also heard that some of you long-time supporters didn't get the download links. If you are one of those who didn't, and held a $5 tier for two months or more this year, or held a $1 tier for all of the year please message me and I'll send you the links.
I've not really been relaxing since the release, as I'm working on the in-game DLC. I'm trying to put as much as I can in there, from a normal walkthrough that displays menu choice outcomes, a developer commentary, and extras such as paths, renders, and animations that were scrapped along the way. I'll also include some behind-the-scenes shots and information, and some additions to the story.

I'm sure some of you also are wondering about the next game, u4ia. I'll finish up the LoF DLC and hopefully be able to open for community translations in the upcoming week. I need to get all of this done before I get properly started on u4ia. It is such a huge project, I'll need all available brain cells on deck.

For everyone who has troubles with your saves not working to avoid issues just save at the screen at the end of the episode. Where it shows the summary and status of all the girls. Do this and there is no problems that I have had. I even use the older version before chapter 8 and just import the end of chapter 7 to the latest version and it works just fine. I'm a sucker for how it was originally designed and didn't want to give it up lol

The save file problem made me play the whole game again...What a shame that was...Not!, Love all the different endings, Looking forward to the DLC, As I still have about 600 renders to unlock, Thank you Drifty, For my 1st and favourite VN, I'm not thanking you for making me cry though!

I had no problems with saves but played from start to finish again to get the full experience of the finished game and to remember certain scenes I forgot about. The Lexi route is definitely also worth a playthrough.

Drifty, the finale of your game lived up to the high standards you had already set. While I got hammered by the save issue (lost all my paths), I'm just taking the opportunity to replay them all. Damn, the Cece stuff still hits like an emotional ton of bricks. Thank you for all your hard work. Looking forward to the next game.

I had some issues, but it was easy to solve by just choosing another save (before OR after the failed one worked).

Yep. I was bit by the save game bug. Given that my only playthrough was Cece up to Chapter 7, I replayed it from the beginning and enjoyed doing so. I've since done a Linda playthrough. May come back and do Lexi in a while. Meanwhile, Deadwater Saloon is calling my name.
