Illustrated Dev Diary, 9th of April, 2021
🕑 Added 2021-04-09 12:15:50 +0000 UTC3 weeks to go. It may sound like a lot, but there's still a whole lot left to do.
Current render totals are 1,323 story renders and 12,575 animated frames, so for those taking notes you'll see that I've been mostly focused on doing story renders this week. I've been wrapping up a big scene that's been a slight drag to deal with due to it being rather demanding on the hardware. But at least it's done now, and I can move on.
For next week I will work mostly - or only - on the dialogue/script. I recon I have about 12k lines to do, plus the additional phone stuff, trait versions of scenes, inserting and adjusting character scores, end screen, and the final changes that I feel gives the story a less kinetic feel, to the final more varied version.
The week after is for rendering the last scene which is rather cinematic and doesn't require a lot of scripting. Then it's off to proof and beta for the final week, so all in all there's just about the required days of development left I need, to avoid taking shortcuts.
Anyway, time for me to deep dive into Renpy which I'm really looking forward to. But Sunday I just might take an hour or two off to enjoy a bit of birthday cake.
