Summary: The members of a Chinese family living in the US have a curse put upon them for becoming too "westernized". Marion E. Wong created the Mandarin Film Company in Oakland, California and served as its president. In an interview with the Oakland Tribune in 1916, she expressed her interest in presenting Chinese culture to American audiences through film. She produced, directed and wrote the screenplay for The Curse of Quon Gwon, the only film her company made.

This looks interesting will have to find that. Pluto has Christopher Lee's Italian film 'Castle of the Living Dead' which is interesting.
What an interesting movie this would have been if allowed distribution. At least a full copy would have to be archived. Well done on Netflix and Dark Corners for making me aware of it.

So we can every single millisecond of absolute drek like the Saw, Hostel and Twilight series but there are stars of silent film from every country that have no record of their work.
I love all the facets of the work you guys do. The crappy flicks, the specials on ancillary stuff like movie posters, and the long-form scholarly work. But it's deep insight like this that shares important historical cinema that might otherwise be passed over where Dark Corners really shines.
