New release preview - introducing Game Modes
🕑 Added 2023-08-08 11:16:07 +0000 UTCHi everyone!
I´m still buried deep in the development process but I can already share some more details about what will be coming next.
In version V0.1A all players will be able to select their preferred Game Mode either at the start of the game or at any time in the Player Section. Game Modes will let you select the pace at which you want to play and will also adjust overall difficulty of the Game.
Since the original gameplay is not for everyone I want to make sure each Player can either select a less grindy original experience (Leisure) or a quick mode to try out new characters and effortlessly unlock all content available (Freeroam).
Two new quick guides pop up will also appear in the Game that will explain basic principles of the Game, making sure players are not confused about how the progression system works.
Overall I made excellent progress in the last five days but the problem with technical updates always is that you have to put an enormous amount of hours into a work that is important but not as visible and rewarding as creating new characters or stories. It is however better to do this hard work now at the beginning of the life cycle than later when there is much more content.
Since the updates to the core engine are extensive I expect to need more time than usual to do thorough playtests and bug fixing, but overall I would say the new version is now about 70% ready. :-)
Cheers,
Mr.Palm
