a painting that some supporters may have seen already because I had sent out the postcards a few months ago.. but the video edit was delayed... thank you for your patience! here is the full timelapse now!

Initial sketch:
it started as a quick plein air in pastels when I was sitting at the park and having a bit of an emotional day. in front of me there was a very big fig tree and a pretty sun set.
I think the fun part of this painting was painting with a new large brush and trying to mimic the texture and glow of pastels with oils!
I think I made it large because I wanted to try (it was still early in my large piece making) but I don't necessarily love the finished piece! I prefer how the small sketch looks.
regardless, I've sold out of prints of this piece from recent group shows! and the framed reproduction as well! someone took it home. thank you, stranger!
