Greetings, friends! Happy Friday... the thirteenth. It's time for another dev diary.
Our current version is 0.6.6d! If you're on an earlier version, strongly consider updating, as a bunch of bugfixes have been in the latest updates.
There is one semi-major known bug remaining — the clothing warmth calculation has an issue that results in less warming than intended, making it more difficult to stay warm in cold weather than it should be. In addition to fixing that, I've tweaked a few values to make it easier still to remain warm even in the coldest conditions. These fixes will be in the next update — probably one more bugfix release before we hit the next content update. Contributors have also been working on weather stuff, and I have some plans myself, so expect this system to become more fleshed out in the next content update.
This week I've been back on the big Greek house update, working on the range of games/activities that can happen at the weekly Greek party. They range from relatively mundane (like trivia) to outright explicit (like the oral sex contest).
If you've been reading these dev diaries for a while, then you know I like to get a system working first and then iterate on it after. For example, I've completed trivia in the sense that it has a start, middle, and end, and is a complete game loop.
But this isn't its final form. For one thing, it's completely PG! So I plan to come back around to it later and add some alternate events that can happen related to questions, and add some alternative stakes (currently it's always a cash prize), all to help spice it up. But, for now, it's a complete game loop and that's important for progress.
Over half of activities, however, are outright non-PG. For example, the oral sex context, which I've also worked on this week.
The oral contest quietly builds itself around the player's preferences, so when you approach the event, it'll be in some configuration that you can take part in. Whether it's set up for you to be on the "giving" team or the "receiving" team is a coinflip, though if it makes sense for you to be on either team, then you'll get the option. I'll be able to finish up this activity today, after I post this.
Also complete is strip poker, which I adapted from a contribution from Noonycurt. So at the end of the week, we'll be a bit under halfway done with these activities. So far I've been able to make each one a complete loop in two or three days, which is a fairly decent rate, I think. I'll keep going with these through next week, at which point we should be in a fairly good spot. It's quite likely we'll have a July monthly update before the Greek house update, but after that, I'll really be pushing to get a 0.7 release ready.
Making these activities has been pretty fun — more like a bunch of individual minigames rather than one massive system. They should lend some variety to these weekly parties, on top of the baseline socializing and random events that can happen.

As I was writing this comment, something suddenly occurred to me... I have a few questions. I was wondering if it's possible to become lovers again with an ex-girlfriend/boyfriend after a breakup. My PC was caught cheating with another NPC and was subsequently dumped by her partner. After that, I tried various things to become lovers again with PC's ex, but I haven't been able to reconcile with them at all. Perhaps it's because my efforts weren't enough, or maybe I just haven't found the way to restore the relationship yet. Anyway, if it's possible, I would really appreciate it if there was content allowing for reconciliation in cases where the player character was caught cheating and got dumped. I hope there could be content depicting the process of confirming that, even though they broke up, their affection for each other hasn't completely faded, and the journey towards reconciliation. For example, the PC's boyfriend would surely still have resentment remaining from the PC betraying him and being with someone else. Because she was rolling around in bed with another man. Every time he sees the PC, his mind will conjure images of her being taken by another man and moaning. Because of this, he might act coldly towards the PC who is still clinging to him, perhaps mentioning her mistake and saying or doing things that hurt her. But nonetheless, if he eventually decides to forgive the PC and become lovers with her again, there would definitely be a rich story associated with that. Of course, even if they become lovers again, a corner of his heart will likely still hold anxiety. As they say, "there may be people who've never cheated, but not people who've only cheated once"... So the stain of doubt about the PC in his heart won't easily fade. He might suspect that if she doesn't answer his call, she's somewhere wildly rolling around in bed with another man, and even just seeing her talking to another man might make him view it with suspicion. Because of this, in cases where they have reconciled like this, I hope the boyfriend/girlfriend would frequently have new dialogue or special actions that show they occasionally suspect the PC.

I'm curious, do NPCs never initiate asking the PC to be their lover? Even when I max out the romance bar, NPCs never ask the PC to be their lover first; the PC always has to confess to the NPC every time, with the exception of a few special NPCs. I'd really like NPCs to be more proactive in pursuing the PC.

I just started this game a couple of weeks ago. The writing is extremely good. I just wanted to ask if anyone reacts to butt plugs if the character isn't wearing underwear and flashes someone or if she is streaking or something. I haven't encountered any reactions so far but if I am not doing something correctly, let me know.

Think it could be fun to have the option to play a character that prefers dating older folk. Could have a new inclination called 'Prefers older men/women' and maybe have some sort of sugar daddy/mommy mechanic where they might join your streams and send you a big donation but then feel entitled to something in return...

I really enjoy your game you are doing amazing job! I like a lot that you gave us the ability to edit the body parts text so my thought is that it would be amazing if you add a similar function on the talk buttons (dirty talk, dom, sub) when we have sex with other characters, so we could type and add our own phrases. I wish you the best keep up the great work!

Thanks, I'll look at it. Edit: Actually I'm pretty sure this is already fixed in the most current version, the underwear option shouldn't come up when vtubing

there is an error on the streaming content when you are streaming as a vtuber. When you decide to stream naked but with you vtuber avatar, the chat asks you about your underwear color, but since you are naked u cannot lift your skirt or open your pants, that when u got an error

This would fall into the "iterate on it after" category, but any plans on adding the player moving their residency over to the Greek house? (Sorry if I missed this in pass dev logs.) Other than that, any plans on the professional side of Greek houses? Even the more party-centric ones focus on career development and the networking side of things from time to time. This might be thinking too far ahead as these sorts of things would be more consequential towards the ending of the game, but would be something that should crop at least every couple months or so.
