Poll: Storyline for 0.7

Between the two platforms, the total results at this moment are:
Something storyline-focused: 235
School advancement: 194
Crime and punishment and consequences: 167
Background NPC simulation: 132
Weather and seasons: 90
Poor weather and seasons... never a favorite. In any case, it's pretty apparent that something storyline-focused is winning by a wide margin.
In hindsight, the prospect of a new storyline drawing lots of votes is probably inevitable — especially when I allow multiple picks, because it's probably always going to be somebody's second or third choice at least. I'll keep that in mind in the future!
So, some sort of storyline it will be. But getting these systems done is still important, so there's a good chance that the winning system here will be a focus immediately after.
However, for now, we must determine which storyline!
Greek houses: These and other cliques will become more of an overt presence in the game, and there will be a few choices of which to join. These will involve some wilder parties and challenges, and give some 6+ skill level content. Group content, strip games, and the like would be focuses here.
Campus events: Campuses typically have a range of clubs and organized activities and a lot more going on besides just classes — this option would bring more of that into the game. Dining halls would be livelier at night, and club activities would bring secondary skills more into play.
Delivery boy/girl: A new job with new events based around a delivery app. I would want to focus on getting the player into a lot of varied locations and situations around town — you never know where somebody's fast food order will end up taking you. Most of your money comes from tips, so you want to be fast, efficient, and keep the customer pleased.
Strip club: Enjoying being a topless server at the River Rat? Maybe you want to see how far you can take it. This option adds a strip club to town, with all that entails — performing on stage, lapdances, cultivating regulars, and unexpectedly seeing your coworkers or professor in the audience. In addition to the club itself, higher ranked strippers could be sent out to private parties, adding some variety to events.
Student tutor: A way for intellectual and studious characters to earn money — or the opportunity to get help from a smarter NPC, if schoolwork is not your focus. Maybe it'll require some unconventional methods to motivate a disinterested student... or maybe you'll be the student who needs motivating.
Those are our options! Each one would improve the game as a life sim, I think, while also bringing in some sexy new events. Some I can see taking more time than others, but they'll all involve a fair bit of writing. I have a funny feeling I know which one will win... but you've surprised me before, so we'll see what happens!

Yeah I think my character needs an in game reason to wear shorts one day and a puffy jacket the next.

Greek houses and Student Tutor would be my vote.... but greek houses if i have to vote one.

It's great to see the upcoming options and plans! I like having multiple clothing options (I think my longest character has like 40 outfits). Personally, I think what would sell people on the weather and season system would be to know how it actionably affects play. Other options directly affect how the player plays like additional campus options, or crime and punishment. But players don't really get how weather and NPC simulation would actually affect their play experience.

I know campus events are in last place, but they're kinda sorely needed. There's about 4 jobs right now, classes, sports, a weekly party, and the occasional date/hangout that you generally have to organize yourself. The game needs easier ways to boost friendship and other NPC stats and to fill space between work/classes/sports and regain relaxation.

I do have some ideas along those lines... eventually, I'd like to see it be a career... it just hasn't made it to the roadmap yet

Wow, these are all really interesting options! I was just wondering if there's any chance of a future storyline where the character could explore a career in porn films? You already have [The Classroom Harasser] in the game, and if I recall correctly, he's the one who makes those kinds of films.

Yep. Polls are just to help set an immediate priority, but every option remains on the roadmap

The thing I have most in mind is the QuickieBurger plotline, but yes there are definitely more things that could be rewritten

Hi, I saw on the discord that you were considering updating older events to be more gender neutral. Does that include the tutorial and the party cumshake stuff?

if greek houses wins (which seems incredibly likely) i really hope we see masquerade parties as part of the events in there, that element in the halloween party was a lot of fun

Seeing background npc simulation in second to last place is quite disappointing. Diversity and depth of npcs (which is limited atm) are what makes the game more enjoyable for me. Thank god u said they'll be in sooner or later

My first time voting in a poll here and my vote was amongst the minority of choices lol. Definitely don't have favoritism for school tutor because I once WAS a tutor. But also that power dynamic that can develop plays really well with the dom/sub system going on in the game.

That said, student tutor would be good for someone who's trying to do a more chaste play through. I mean, I don't know who those people are, but I'm sure they must exist.

Greek houses and strip club will probably make it, but I feel bad for the other goals. Everything is a great choice.

Definitely Greek Houses for me, although strip club is a close second. Also, I've been looking forward to weather and seasons forever haha. That and crime and punishment are always my votes. But I've been outvoted.
