Course of Temptation: Next Roadmap Update Poll (closed)
🕑 Added 2024-07-08 20:18:03 +0000 UTCTime to make a final decision about what the next major roadmap update (bringing us to v0.6) will be! I'll run this poll till Friday and then talk about the final decision in the dev diary.
In the meantime, I'll be working on stuff that will end up in the August update. That should give me a good couple of weeks this month to get started on whatever the major update ends up being.
First of all, check out the previous post if you want to see the original discussion about these options. Check the comments too, as there was a lot of good discussion going on. Thanks to everyone who took the time to give their input.
But the gist is, after doing a huge update that touched basically every single aspect of the game, I'd like to do one that instead focuses closely on a single location. I will repost the options in detail first, with a little revising based on comments, including some new possibilities I've been convinced to add:
River Rat: This would be my pick, as I've had ideas bouncing around about this since before release! Start as a server, either be a pleaser (compliant) or accept no nonsense from anybody (assertive). Work your way up to making management decisions and upgrading the bar. D/s skillraises, lots of sexy scenes, and a mini management sim. I have ideas for an upgrade tree of sorts, and the ability to take the bar in different directions.
Strip club: A new hangout, content for leisure time, as well as a new job possibility. Start small, catch attention, and work your way up to being a headliner on the pole. Private shows, lapdances, even leaving the premises to entertain at parties. Not hard to imagine how we'll make this sexy, probably! Some have asked for a management side to this too as you work your way up... I'll consider it and see how much is reasonable to scope.
Delivery boy/girl: A gig app has you delivering food around town, maybe campus too, working for tips. How far will you go for a good tip? Will you be on the receiving end of somebody's answer-the-door-nude dare? If you get a reputation, you might find yourself on call for services besides food delivery. A possibility this will come with a vehicle system as an upgrade path.
Student tutor: Good grades don't come easily to everyone. Become a tutor for hire, meeting up with students to help improve their grades. The question is, what will you have to do to motivate some of these students? You know what this place is like.
Campus lake: Relaxing, socializing, sunbathing, swimming, skinny dipping... perhaps a food stand that the PC can work at so we can introduce a job aspect too, though making money wouldn't be the focus of this location. Lots of chances for exhibitionism and voyeurism, and I'd love to involve some secondary skills too with cooking, drawing, and photography activities.
Greek houses: This one is definitely not for moneymaking. My main focus for these would be placing some students in them and making them explorable locations, as well as the parties — this is where things can get a bit wilder than the quad party currently is. This would be leading up to being able to pledge to a house, something I definitely want to do sooner or later, though for this update it depends on how much is reasonable to scope.
Tattoo and piercing parlor: This idea completely belongs to the comments as for whatever reason it had never occurred to me, but several people mentioned it. I would have to do some brainstorming before getting any specific ideas, but I imagine i would be something where you upgrade your skills and equipment over time, and it'd certainly involve the artistic skill. Even if it doesn't win, I'll still give this idea some more thought and see where it might belong in the plan.
So there you have it! All of this stuff I intend to put into the game sooner or later, so don't worry about losing options disappearing from the plan — you're just picking which one gets prioritized right now. Thank you for taking the time to respond!

All of these are good and while I want the lake to come into play soon, I still think the River Rat is the best choice, as it potentially has a lot of scope for expansion in the future. New things(food/drinks/etc), scenes, locations within the River Rat, skills, upgrades to the decor, etc. Along with the fact that Anthaum has already been thinking about ideas for it since the game started.
