Course of Temptation Dev Diary #4

For the last few days I've mostly been working on the "sneak around outside and try not to get caught" exhibitionism system. As these things tend to go, it was a bit more work than I anticipated, but I've just got a handful more events to write and it'll be complete (for now). So I'm on track to get the update out this weekend, quite possibly tomorrow.
Like many things in the game right now, it'll be a bit of a first pass, with the intention of expanding on it as time goes on. But I think there's already a decent variety of outcomes for when you get caught, particularly if it's by somebody who doesn't like you much! And it'll be a great help in leveling Exhibitionism.
As I mentioned last week, I'm already considering the next major update, and I think it should center around a new job. I have two specific ideas in mind, and while both will eventually make it into the game no matter what, I'm curious which one you'd like to see first.
Bartending at the River Rat
The River Rat: a great place to relax and meet new people. But if you get a job there, you'll get a different perspective on the place. When customers are rowdy, when beer gets spilled, when people think their drinks are taking too long, suddenly that's your problem.
And how you handle it is up to you. Do you keep your cool, stay confident, and let them know who's in charge? Or do you do whatever it takes to mollify them?
The River Rat job will involve waiting tables and tending bar and, above all, dealing with customers. What happens at work here can level your Disinhibition and Exhibitionism, depending on your choices. It'll also be the first time Dominance and Submission come into play in a major way, as the job will have two major variations depending on whether you want to put unreasonable customers in their place, or take The Customer Is Always Right to the extreme.
Considering a lot of your pay here will come from tips, you'd best choose wisely and hold to your path.
E-Girl/Boy: Your Streaming Career
Streaming is big these days! Whether you're playing video games, just chatting, or climbing into an inflatable pool wearing as little as the ToS will allow, there are lots of ways to get attention and build an audience. And it's easy enough to do from your dorm, or even go portable with a laptop.
Of course, if keeping it (barely) PG isn't bringing in the money, you can stream at a more X-rated site that doesn't mind if you show a nipple, or a whole lot more. Taking challenges from viewers and constantly pushing yourself will keep those donations coming in. But if fellow students on campus get wind of what you're doing, that could make things a bit awkward.
While you can get away with streaming from your phone early on, you'll have better results if you can get your hands on a good computer, a decent mic, and a quality camera. Gotta spend money to make money.
Which should it be?
I'm excited about both of these ideas, but they're too big to cram both into a single update. It's most likely I'll do one, focus on other areas of the game for a while, then do the other several updates later. So the question is which I do first. To that end, I'll be posting our first poll here in a minute.
But also, please don't be shy about letting me know in the Discord what you'd like to see, whether it's a job or anything else that comes to mind! There's a huge list of stuff I want to put in the game, and since release your input has been the biggest factor in which things I prioritize first!
So ends this week's dev diary. Again, I'll likely be able to deliver the 0.2 update this weekend, then I'll take a few days to just polish and add in some relatively minor things, and then it'll be time to start implementing one of these jobs for 0.3.

Thank you! That stuff is totally on the list. That empty space on Friday afternoons is being reserved for sports, clubs, etc. So someday soon!

I don't really do discord so hope its okay if I put a suggestion here: College sports, i.e. cheerleading, football, etc. I'd also be down with a college fight club/martial arts club. Love this game and what you've done - looking forward to seeing what comes next!
