Chapter 84: Before the Meeting

The next three days had passed by in a blur for Morgan. As she focused on cementing her influence and power over the underworld, and regaining control over her powers that may have started to go a bit chaotic.
She had also spent this time strengthening her peerage through new training methods, and helping them unlock new powers that they previous couldn’t properly utilize. Strengthening them by a decent bit, enough to make a difference.
Although she was now strong enough to handle the threats by herself, so it likely didn’t really matter all that much in the end.
It’d take Yahweh himself to harm her when it came to Heaven's side, and that man was dead, so they didn’t have anything that could harm her any longer. Even with their strongest weapons and strongest fighters all working together they wouldn’t even scratch her at her level of power.
Besides cementing her power in the Underworld and strengthening her peerage enough to keep them prepared for the future that was coming, Morgan had also used a few new wards that were now surrounding her territory, keeping it safer than ever before.
Her new wards would soon be placed around the entire underworld, that way nobody could invade the lands of the devils without her knowing. The Angels and other combatants wouldn’t be able to do jack shit to break through them.
Wards that would be superior to even that of Heavens by the time she was done with them. But again, that would take time. And right now, she was far more focused on the events that were coming up very shortly.
As in today short.
The meeting was today. Morgan was prepared for it, already knowing that nobody was going to attack. That nobody reasonably could attack. Ophis no longer backed the remains of the Khaos Brigade, most of the forces of both the Brigade and of Rizevim's faction were not capable of amassing a force to do anything during it.
It would take someone incredibly powerful to even remotely threaten her and the rest of the people that would be taking part in the meeting. People like the Four Satans, Gabriel, Michael, Azazel, and Morgan herself. All of them were at least Satan Class in power, and Morgan was literally the third strongest being on the planet, at least if excluding Trihexa.
That thing was an entirely different deal.
Currently Morgan was standing in front of her large mansion. The Satans and her peerage were all gathered with her. As they were all the devils that were going to be traveling there with her, alongside Rias and her peerage as well.
Speaking of Rias, it had been a while since she had last seen her because she was so busy. She hoped to meet up with her soon, as she felt bad for not meeting up with her for so long. She already had an idea how to make it up for her though.
“How much longer until the meeting is supposed so start?” Rias asked, as she glanced up at Morgan. She was a little hurt with their lack of talking in the past days, but she understood that her girlfriend was very busy, so she didn’t really blame her.
She just hoped that Morgan would make it up to her somehow, how that was she didn’t know.
“Should be starting in a couple of minutes. I imagine the Angels will be the first to arrive there, with the Fallen being the last group to arrive later on” Morgan responded.
“With how Azazel is, that's only natural. That guy is late to literally everything. He’d be late to his own funeral if he ever has one” Serafall added, as the other Satans nodded agreeing with her words.
Azazel very rarely did anything on time or according to plan, so this wasn’t even remotely surprising. Dude had a record for this sort of behavior. He was a pervert who didn’t like to follow the rules, and certainly didn’t like to follow the plans unless he literally had to.
“He’s also very likely to flirt with you, so be prepared for that” Falbium also added, knowing for sure that the man would at least flirt with Morgan. He’d likely flirt with members of her peerage too, so he hoped that the man didn’t take it too far before Morgan really made him pay for it.
Beating the leader of the Fallen Angels wouldn’t be that difficult for her at this point. And it wasn’t likely anyone could stop her if she decided to.
“Yeah I already warned them about that, and if he pushes it too far I’ll personally take care of it, so don’t worry about that” Morgan responded, already knowing all about his personality and what he was likely going to do.
“Won’t that start some sort of incident though?” Rias asked, wondering if the man was really that bad.
“Oh definitely. But I can take care of that. And I honestly doubt anyone will blame me if I slap the shit out of the pervert” Morgan responded with a shrug, knowing that it would cause an incident, but nothing she can’t handle. Not only that, but nobody there would blame her.
They all knew his personality so it wasn’t like slapping him would be the wrong thing to do in that situation. Honestly he’d be lucky to only get slapped and not something more than that.
“What is this meeting even for? It’s not like the Khaos Brigade or the Old Satan Faction even exists anymore” Lint asked, wondering what the point was anymore. It’s not like there was some big threat to gather over, and the last big event that they’d really know about is Kokabiel, and he wasn’t much of a threat in the end.
“To finally end the thousands of years of rivalry between our factions, and hopefully work together to bring down the last remaining fraction of Rizevim’s forces and whatever remains of the Khaos Brigade. We don’t truly need their help now that we have Morgan on our side, but it will certainly go a long way. It’ll also stop any future conflicts from arising due to Morgan’s recent rise to power” Ajuka explained, as those in the group that didn’t understand the point of this were now understanding why this was happening.
It made sense. And was basically just a big peace talk meeting and that was it. Not for anything more than that, not yet at least.
“Huh…that makes a lot of sense actually. What’s the likelihood that this meeting actually works and the conflicts stop?” Lint asked, as Morgan was the one who responded to this question.
“Oh the conflicts won’t be stopping, not completely at least. The Church of the Heavenly faction is basically it’s own entity and is insanely racist. Michael is too much of a wimp to stop them, so they’re going to continue to cause problems. But this is going to be a start at the very least” Morgan responded.
“You know, now that you have that…other form, can’t you personally get involved in taking care of that problem?” Tiamat asked, as Morgan looked at her with a hum.
“Not the worst idea, but the Archangels will be really damn annoying if they find out that I can take an angelic form. Especially once they realize that in that form I am akin to their father in terms of power” Morgan responded, as the Four Satans agreed that hiding that was probably for the best…at least for now.
“If you’re akin to their father in terms of power while in that form, can’t you take over Heaven with that form? You could rule both Heaven and Hell, stopping any future conflicts that can arise between the two factions” Issei said.
“I could, but again, it’s not that easy. I don’t know if the throne of God in Heaven would even accept me. I’d also have to receive acceptance of the Heavenly system and then I’d need to deal with the actual Angels and how they would react to someone who was born as a devil taking over Heaven. Not to mention the many other factions that would probably be annoying as piss” Morgan responded, having already thought of the idea plenty of times in the past couple of days.
It would just be too annoying for her to deal with right now.
Glancing at her watch, Morgan smiled, as a crack in space began to form in front of them, for it was time to get to Kuoh Academy where the meeting would take place. And as they began to walk towards the portal to the Academy, Morgan had only one thought on her mind, and that was…
’…This’ll be an interesting meeting’

All of your mc's, all of them, always hesitate to act on something because other people's opinions or actions will be 'annoying' no matter how powerful they are, they'll rather remain passive. Just like now, she's the third strongest in this universe, but instead of just taking over heaven and unifying the Biblical pantheon, she's not, simply because 'it will be annoying' to deal with Angels, people who can't do anything to her, or other factions, who also won't mess with her if she revealed how powerful she is, but she won't, she will wait until they move against her before she finally acts. Wanda, in the other fanfic, took time to go out openly, and interact with others without hiding her face or wiping other's memory of her like when she met Wonder Woman, or was it Batman? Simply because it would be 'annoying' to deal with Justice League. Gwen too, all in all, they always hesitate, remain passive, or do things secretly because they don't want to deal with other's reactions to them, even if they're stronger and have the upper hand than those people, they always feel obliged to explain their actions to other people and such.
