Chapter 261: Seeing the Team

After leaving Lex with the USB full of new ideas and inventions, Gwen teleported off to Mount Justice, where Gwen and Mâgann were already at with Korra and Jean. Likely already having met the team and the new additions to said team.
Dick was also with them, as she reappeared inside of the Mountain, immediately noticing the team in front of her, talking with Dick.
âGwen, what took you so long?â Dick asked, turning back to his sister as she smiled.
âJust had to talk with a few people, nothing serious, my bad. So, these are the new additions to the team?â Gwen said, as she walked forwards, glancing at Supergirl and Wondergirl. She could tell that they were decently strong, nothing in comparison to her or the girls, but strong.
âYep! Gwen, this is Kara Zor-el and Dinah, aka Supergirl and Wondergirl. Kara, Dinah, this is my big sister, Gwen, aka Ghost Spider or Doctor Fateâ Dick said, introducing the two girls to his big sister as Gwen gave them a small smile.
âNice to meet you two. Not everyday you see another Kryptonian and Amazonâ Gwen said with a smile, as she reached her hand out, causing them both to glance at it, before ignoring it.
Gwen raised an eyebrow at their response, a chuckle escaping her lips.
âMan, didnât realize I did something to make you dislike me. Can I ask what it was?â Gwen asked, looking at the two, interested in their response.
âYou left and abandoned this world for another. You are no heroâ Dinah said bluntly, as Gwen blinked several times, before glancing at Dick.
âYeah I didnât get to explain where you were before you got here. If I did Iâm pretty sure neither of them would be saying thatâ Dick said with a sigh.
âAnd what was she doing in another universe?â Dinah asked.
âShe was building a sanctuary for species that were being hunted down and looked down upon by their universes, and was gathering them from across the multiverse, building cities that housed billions. She was also fighting against cosmic entities that wanted to wipe out Earth, and saved the Earth she was on several times over. Oh, and for the record, all those great things that Lex Luthor has been doing? Yeah, sheâs the one who gave him all those ideasâ Dick responded bluntly, trying not to laugh upon seeing Dinahâs wide eyed reaction.
It wasnât public knowledge that this was the case, and not even the League knew that she had been giving him all of the technology that he was creating, and the ideas for it. But if she really was doing all of this for the world, then she was helping a lot more than either of them had thought.
ââŠAnd how do you know she isnât lying?â
âBecause she has no reason to lie? And sheâs shown us photos of the place and everything. Itâs huge, and way more advanced than anything that we have hereâ Dick responded, as Dinah and Kara both looked at Gwen silently.
âSorryâ Kara said simply, as Gwen smiled.
âItâs alright, Iâd be displeased too if I was in your position. And youâre new, so itâs only natural that you wouldnât knowâ Gwen replied with a shrug, before looking to the side, with Kaldur and Wally walking towards them.
âGwen! Youâre finally back! Took you long enough!â Wally said as he grinned, while Gwen just chuckled.
âYeah, well, I had a lot more to do in that universe than I was initially expecting. Dealing with cosmic entities and traveling the multiverse isâŠ.pretty damn time consumingâ Gwen responded to her friend, as the teen chuckled.
âWell, weâre just glad that youâre back, even if it is only for a short whileâ Kaldur said.
âYeah Iâll probably only be here for a few weeks at most, but I will make sure that we can all go out and do something as a team again. Oh, and hereâ Gwen said, as she reached into her pocket and tossed Kaldur a small box the side of a ring case.
âWhat is it?â Kaldur asked, as Gwen smiled.
âItâs a storage box, inside are the new suits I made for you guys. Stronger, better, and far far more durable than the old ones. Should be a good upgrade to what youâve been using. Just open the box and the suits will come flying out, but Iâd wait until the entire team is in one place, as the suits will automatically attach themselves to the one theyâre made forâ Gwen explained, as Kaldur looked down at it in surprise.
âWhat are they made? Cause the suits you gave us are already pretty damn durableâ
âProto Adamantium, Vibranium, Uru, Adamantine, Promethium and a few other metals. Basically some of the most durable metals in the entire multiverse, I would have added Nth metal, but I donât know how thatâd react to some of your physiologies so I decided not toâ Gwen responded as Kaldurâs eyes shot wide at the mention of Adamantine.
It was the metal of the Gods, and extremely rare. Not to mention Promethium which is literally one of the most durable minerals in the DC multiverse. All of that was being combined into the new suits that they were being given, suits that were vastly superior to even what they had in the League.
Basically they were getting spoiled.
âTh-that is incredible! Where did you get such metals?â Kaldur asked in awe as Gwen smiled.
âBack in the universe I am in, my city's walls are made of a lot of these metals, Kaldur. Iâve got basically infinite amounts of them thanks to some of myâŠtravelsâ Gwen responded as she noticed that Kara was looking at her with growing awe, likely knowing what some of those metals were.
âWhy give us such incredible suits? Surely that is overkill, isnât it?â Dinah asked.
âHmm? No? Why would I want my friends, and their new teammates to get hurt? And nothing is overkill when it comes to keeping people safe and alive, Dinah, especially not with defensive measures like these. If I wanted to I could have made something far far far stronger, but that would be real overkill, so I stuck with armor that would suit you allâ Gwen responded, shrugging.
âThatâŠmakes a lot of senseâ Dinah muttered to herself, before Artemis decided to speak up, considering how awkward this conversation was getting.
âAaannyways, how about we all get something to eat and just hang out, yeah?â Artemis asked, as they all glanced at one another before shrugging in agreement.

Lunch had been a fun experience, with Gwen and Mâgann working together to whip up a delicious meal for the rest of the team. With Kara devouring a lot of food alongside Wally thanks to their physiologies. The food itself was delicious thanks to Gwen being a God of Cooking several times over.
The lunch had mostly just been eating and talking about the adventures she had, as well as the girls teasing Kaldur about his crush on a boy from Atlantis. While Korra and Jean had been quickly accepted as a part of the friend group, especially once Korra showed off her skills at Mario Kart.
She was awful at it, which is what made it so enjoyable.
The rest of the day was spent enjoying the company of the team after not seeing them for two years, and just having fun.
But after a few hours, they decided to return back to the manor, but not before Gwen placed some powerful wards around the Mount in order to protect it.
But now that she was home, Gwen decided it was time to begin gathering things for her project, and that wasâŠ
