Game Update #3
🕑 Added 2022-03-01 15:45:34 +0000 UTCHappy March, everyone! Many new people have joined since the last game update. If you're a Sophomore or above, I hope you enjoyed playing part 2 of Day One. For Freshmen, you'll be able to play in just a few weeks :)
Part 3 of Day One is going full steam ahead. I'll have a dev build sometime this week that will follow up on the shower tease at the end of part 2. Seniors, look for that soon! Beyond that, I'm aiming to put out the full release of part 3 sometime in the second week of March for Juniors and Seniors, then a week later for Sophomores.
Here's how everything is progressing:
Script
Part 3 is almost entirely written. All that remains to wrap up Day One is some of Connor's internal commentary as he fantasizes about the many guys he met during orientation. This is the fun part where I get to describe all the dirty things he wants these guys to do him and what he wants to do to them. The remaining writing should go pretty quick :)
Art
The next update will include 30+ gallery images to unlock. It was originally less, but as I developed the shower sequence I got super inspired ;)
Most of the new images are Connor's fantasies of each of the guys you've met so far. If you played your cards right, you can even unlock a few images featuring some of the guys having fun together.
These gallery images are more explicit than the ones from Connor's earlier fantasizing. I enjoy teasing you guys and building up tension, but I also enjoy making pictures of hot guys fully naked and hard. I'm super pleased with how the images are turning out, and I think you will be, too!
I have hit a small snag with sprites, however. There was a recent update to the 3D program I use that changed how lighting works. I'm going to do my best to match the lighting for newly rendered sprites to the original sprites, but there may be slight differences. Luckily, we're heading into a new day, which means there will be new sprites for everyone due to new outfits. So the change shouldn't be too noticeable.
Coding
I'll be coding the dev release over the next day and then move to wrapping up Day One. This will be an easy one since the scenes are very linear and image-focused.
Looking Ahead
While the remaining images for part 3 render, I'll be moving on to writing the first part of Day Two. Day Two is when the branching narrative really gets going, so it requires a lot of pre-planning and a whole lot of writing. As usual, flowcharts are here to save the day. Here's a screenshot of how some of Connor's first extended one-on-one encounters shaped up; you can see there a number of points that let you steer the direction of each convo:
The first update for Day Two is currently planned to include the morning classes and then an afternoon opportunity to hang out with one of the romanceable characters. You may have seen me mention that while there are many guys open to more than just sex, some of the guys are only in it for hookups. These guys won't have one-on-one scenes in the afternoon section of Day Two, but don't worry, they'll still be involved throughout the day! A few of them may even try to seduce Connor as the afternoon moves into evening...
That about covers it! As always, I'm so grateful to all of you for supporting this game. You took a leap of faith based on one brief intro, and I hope to live up to that by continuing to create hot content for you to enjoy as quickly as I can :)
