Dev Build 0.1.4 - Frat Party Update

What's in this build?
The dev build contains the complete frat party beginning to end, following the storylines of six guys: Marco, Riley, Owen, Dominic, Evan, and Julian. This portion is story-heavy with a whole lot of branching depending on your choices, including entirely different scenes. There are also a number of new CGs to unlock, including a couple that require some specific choices.
This section has two ending points, which you'll know you reached when you see the screen saying "End of Dev Build." What lies beyond those endings are what's coming in the final release: two hookup opportunities and many, many more CGs featuring the characters in those hookup scenes.
How to access the content
Like the last release, this section of the game takes place on the evening of Connor's second day at college. Play through until after Will's class, select one of the guys to spend the afternoon with, and then choose the frat party option once the afternoon hangout reaches its end.
For the most content in one go, I recommend playing through Marco, Riley, Owen, or Dominic's afternoon hangout, and then follow their storyline to the end. (For Evan, do a solo route by coming in from another afternoon hangout, and for Julian, play through Owen's afternoon hangout.) Also take every opportunity to proposition the characters when prompted, and if you're asked if you want to take a shower, take it!
Content to come
Although the majority of this section of the game is completed, this is still an in-development build. There are a few more backgrounds being added to make the party feel like there are actual people there, and some of the side characters currently only have a single sprite. Don't worry, for the final release they'll all be much more expressive!
Possible issues
I mentioned above that the story content has a lot of alternate branches and scenes. As such, there are many different ways to play through, including jumping between guys at certain points if you so desire.
Although I've done a lot of testing, there are so many different ways to go through this that I haven't been able to test all variations yet. Some things you may encounter, rarely if at all:
- Connor's image in the bottom corner may appear to have two images layered on top of each other
- A scene may link to another scene incorrectly
- Someone may make reference to something that didn't happen or ignore something that did happen
- Typos!
As an in-development project, there also sometimes arises a problem when loading a previous save. If you play from a save and get error screens saying something isn't defined, the quickest way to fix it is to start a new game, use the skip feature to fast-forward through, and reselect your choices. It's a tiny bit of a hassle, but as someone who's done many skip throughs for testing, it really only takes a minute or two.

This section has been a pretty large undertaking for me as a solo dev as it's the first point where many different choices are colliding. It's taken me longer than I hoped to get here, but I wouldn't be here at all without all of you joining Patreon—I hope you have fun playing through this early version!

Everything will always be consensual, as the guys mention whenever that becomes an issue (wanting but deciding against pushing things with Riley, telling Evan to stop once the surprise wears off, Marco's comment about just taking care of Julian if Connor had helped him upstairs, Leo scolding Connor if Connor is drunk and tries to wake up Matt, Leo putting Connor to bed when he saw how drunk Connor was, etc.) This is college and guys will experiment with substances, so I won't leave that out, but it'll never be used as an opportunity to take advantage of someone. HOWEVER I know which scene you're concerned about, and I'll say this—there's a path through the party where you can get an idea of what's really going on there. That character suddenly *seeming* very impaired isn't necessarily what is actually happening... (Re: altruistic—when you're writing quickly, sometimes words get reused for lack of anything else immediately coming to mind. I'll catch stuff like that during a more extensive reread 😉)

So clearly you discovered the word "altruistic" for the first time and love it haha GOD there is so much to unpack in this party! Are you sure we can only hook up with two guys in this part? It's so exciting and sexy! I will say though that a couple of the guys being very drunk when they came onto you felt a little bit off. I'm sure with the amount of options and pathways you can go in this game that everything keeps consensual. Or if it doesn't that Connor gets a bad end where he gets arrested or something haha
