Pre-made Save Files for Just Bros v2 Once Rework is Completed

I know many of you have invested a lot of time carefully playing through every route and keeping separate save files for each character by playing multiple times and backtracking.
I completely understand that the thought of starting over from scratch can feel overwhelming.
To make things easier, I’ll be providing pre-made save files for different routes, allowing you to continue directly from Chapter 30 without having to redo everything.
These save files will be available once the full V2 rework reaches Chapter 30, as I need to finalize the max achievable affection values for each character.
How Will It Work?
Each save file will have a different setup, so you can choose the one that best matches your preferred playthrough. For example:
Save File #1 - Ryder / Yan / Intelligence Focus
Ryder Affection = 30
Jasper Affection = 2
Yan Affection = 30
Ellis Affection = 2
Fight Club = Won
Cato Calendar = Yes
Intelligence = 5
Persuasion = 0
Save File #2 - Jasper / Ellis / Persuasion Focus
Ryder Affection = 2
Jasper Affection = 30
Yan Affection = 2
Ellis Affection = 30
Fight Club = Lost
Cato Calendar = Yes
Intelligence = 0
Persuasion = 5
Every character will have a save file where their affection is maxed at that point in the game, so you can jump right in without replaying everything.
An interactable option would also be available for you to Rename back your character if you choose to start from a generic save file
Alternative Option – Customizing Your Own Choices!
For those who prefer a more tailored experience, I’m also considering adding an interactable option at the start of Chapter 31. This would allow you to:
✅ Rename your character
✅ Reset all stats
✅ Answer a short questionnaire to set your previous choices and relationships
For example:
1️⃣ Who did you side with most? → Yan / Ellis
2️⃣ Did you follow Raymond home at the club? → Yes / No
3️⃣ What do you value more? → Intelligence / Persuasion
This way, you can pick the most accurate version of your progress without manually replaying everything.
All these will be finalized once the rework is completed
That said, I highly encourage you to play through the reworked version at least once! There are multiple new and altered plotlines that will definitely leave you going ??? if you skip over them. Plus, you don’t want to miss out on all the juicy new fun events! 😏✨

That's a bug in chapter 5 where you cannot refuse to go with Raymond which may cause you to lose affection w Jasper and Ryder. If you wish to go that route, just download this file and replace it in your game folder and it will fix it! This is stated in the demo guide to notify players from itch io 👍

I completely understand the appeal of a cheat menu, but I feel it goes against the spirit of the game. A big part of the experience is making choices and seeing their consequences unfold naturally. Allowing players to freely tweak stats could undermine that, devaluing character development and impacting future chapters. That said, I’m considering alternative approaches. One idea is a standalone version—let’s call it Season 1: Storyteller Edition—which would allow players to experience Chapters 1-30+ with maxed stats, unrestricted dialogue choices, and full access to fun events. This version wouldn’t connect to the current main version or linkable to Season 2 and will be only distributed as a [XX-month] bonus. Therefore ensuring this version is in the hands of players who have already experienced the story as intended, offering a relaxed, replay-friendly way to revisit the game. With all best routes unlocked and triggerable in a single playthrough, it lets players enjoy the story without worrying about points or affection levels

Just a thought but you could make a cheat menu, maybe just for patrons? Idk if that's within the spirit of the game or not. And thats completelyfine if not. But, you could make a chapter select menu and make affection levels customizable as well as other variables like intoxication, true/falsing certain events. That might be more work on your end though, than just making different or custom saves right now but in the long run could save sometime.

Thank you! But honestly, these ideas wouldn’t exist without all of you! You guys point out what’s needed, what works, and what could be better—that’s what makes all of this possible. The rewrites and reworks, for example, have been requested for a long time, with some of you even offering to take them on yourselves before I started working on them. So really, this is a team effort👍
