JB Rework Progress Update

As mentioned before, I’m currently reworking JB, adding daytime chapter notifications, and implementing screens for multiple scenes and events in every chapter. While doing this, I couldn’t help but repulsed by how poorly some of the earlier scripts were written—full of grammatical errors and awkward phrasing (sorry, I’m not a writer haha).
I’m still by no means a writer, but after nearly 100 chapters/episodes of VNs, I’d like to think my English and storyboarding have improved a little. So, along with the structural updates, I’m also overhauling the script chapter by chapter. The dialogue is undergoing major revisions—keeping the core plot intact but refining the conversations significantly.
Key Focus Areas in the Rewrite:
Stronger character personalities – Now that I have a clearer vision of each character, their early-game dialogue is being adjusted to fit them better (e.g., Ryder will be slightly more playful instead of bland, Jasper will lean more into his stoic nature, etc.).
Expanded interactions – New dialogue options and extended character exchanges to enhance immersion.
Grammar and spelling corrections – Cleaning up the writing for better readability.
Minor Gameplay Adjustments:
Some affection gains/losses may shift slightly due to new dialogue options or adjusted interactions. However, these changes are minor and won’t significantly impact existing playthroughs.
VN Release Schedule Update:
As mentioned before, due to the ongoing rewrites and development of the Bonus VN, there may not be a new VN release this month.
If this happens, all patrons for this month will receive next month’s VN, and no payment will be charged for next month
This should only affect this month, regardless of whether the rewrites are fully completed by then. Moving forward, new VNs—including new versions of JB—will continue releasing as usual, even if the rewrites are still in progress.
The Reworked Version
When the full overhaul is completed, I highly encourage you to replay the game in its entirety! The rework is extensive, with every line carefully refined for better flow, clarity, and immersion. While the core plot remains the same, the improved dialogue and interactions will offer a fresh and smoother experience
Progress So Far:
it’s unlikely the full rewrite will be completed within a month as each chapter takes around 4+ hours to overhaul. However, the new day chapter system will be implemented beforehand.

I'm very much looking forward to this! Thank you for the retooling; as much as I enjoy this game it has felt a little awkward at points and I'm sure you taking another look will make it even more of a favorite.
