Ello Poppers!
Hope you had a good weekend! We spent some time at a reservoir, kids got swimmer's itch and sunburns, love summer ;) I kind of feel like were stuck in the in-between right now-not enough summer left to do a trip or anything, too soon for back to school supplies? Making the most of sleeping in, walks at night after the sun goes down and absolutely zero time to myself;)
This week we have MAD MAX: HIGHWAY TO THE THUNDERDOME ;) We did a watch-along on our monthly extra butter live last night and it was so fun, and even more bizzare-o than the usual wasteland shenanigans. We will also have our Spielberg Poll winner with Bridge of Spies and Bruce Lee's Story! Next week I will officially be starting the Thrones of the Game...dun dun duunnn. (wait do they have a theme song? Don't answer that) I wanted to say that I really am trying to stay away from ANY spoilers so no GoT talk on the update post or poll posts P&TY :)
We have a PR 1-300 Poll going on as we speak-one day left and the top two are separated by only 2 percent of the vote! I think each month we will have a PR poll with different ranges of numbers?
PICK A FLICK!! DO NOT FORGET TO ENTER THIS MONTH-Only two more days! Enter and confirm your entry as well as all the rules and FAQ's right here.
Ok I think that’s all-YT LIVE AT THE END OF AUGUST!
je taime,
Cassie

Good point. The show is not about sex/nudity but about the characters and the GoT world. My advice to her is to give the show a chance to reach the rich character development and associated plot lines. The sex/nudity early in the series is a sideshow -- though I would argue not completely gratuitous but to help set a feel for the environment and some of the characters.

I'm looking forward to GoT a lot, however, the first two or so seasons are going to be a bit..... awkward. Just know Cassie, and I hope other people have mentioned this to you as well, the truly gratuitous nudity and sexual stuff definitely fades by the end of Season Two. It's a bit of a slog because there are just some truly unnecessary scenes with that sort of stuff, but it does end almost entirely by Season Three.

The Jungle Book (but that might have been before- no, after), Back to the Future 2 (definitely before), and there is another one on the tip of my brain... Aladdin (mini-series). He was also in Lilo and Stitch.
Tim Weaver
I really thought Jason Lee would be propelled to stardom after this terrific debut..but off top of my head the only other flick I can think of was opposite a buff Kurt Russell in Soldier.
